The sulfuric haze bathed the city ruins in an eerie yellow glow, casting long shadows that danced ominously on the ground. The horde marched forward with chilling determination, their glowing blue eyes piercing through the fog. The ZETU team stood on the crumbling rooftop of an old factory, their breaths shallow, adrenaline pumping. The groans of the undead echoed louder with each passing second.
Captain Marcus Kane adjusted his comms earpiece, his eyes scanning the horizon. "This isn't just another swarm. They're organized." He pointed to the streets below, where the zombies moved in near-unison, like soldiers on a battlefield. "Sothing's controlling them."
"Whatever it is, it's huge," Ethan "Brain" O'Connor reported from the surveillance van parked a block away. His drones hovered overhead, streaming live footage to his screen. "That Titan-class zombie isn't just walking—it's leading. And we've got smaller ones flanking it, clearing paths for the rest."
Sergeant Jenna "Blaze" Hart slamd a fresh fuel tank into her flathrower. "If they want to play army, we'll burn their ranks to ash. Just tell when to light 'em up."
"Not yet," Marcus said. "We need to get closer and figure out what's driving them. Huntress, you're up."
Lila "Huntress" Navarro nodded, securing her twin pistols and dropping silently into the alley below. The shadows swallowed her as she disappeared into the fog, her movents precise and calculated. She activated her tracker, scanning for heat signatures and movent patterns. "I've got sothing," she whispered into her comms. "There's a cluster forming near the Titan. They're guarding sothing... or soone."
"Guarding?" Marcus frowned. "What could they possibly—"
A deafening roar cut him off. The Titan had spotted Lila. Its glowing eyes locked onto her, and with surprising speed, it charged, its massive fists smashing through abandoned vehicles like paper.
"Blaze, Quick Shot, suppressive fire!" Marcus barked, leaping down to join the fray.
Riley "Quick Shot" Bennett took position, her sniper rifle ringing out as she landed two precise shots into the Titan's legs. The beast staggered but didn't fall. "This thing's tougher than the last one!" she yelled.
Blaze unleashed a torrent of flas, creating a fiery barrier between the team and the approaching horde. "That's not gonna hold for long!"
Derek "Shield" Coleman stood firm at the front, his riot shield braced for impact. "We need to focus on the Titan before the rest break through!"
Lila sprinted back toward the team, her pistols firing at zombies closing in from the sides. "The Titan isn't acting alone," she shouted. "There's sothing else out there. It's controlling them!"
Ethan's voice crackled in their ears. "I've got eyes on the source. It's an old church up ahead. There's movent inside—human movent."
Marcus gritted his teeth. "ZETU, change of plans. We take down the Titan, then we breach that church. Whatever's in there, it's pulling the strings."
As the Titan roared again, the team prepared for an all-out assault. The yellow haze thickened, and the battlefield erupted into chaos.
