Sergeant Darius 'Hellhound' Rook stood beside him, arms crossed, watching the undead soldier kneel in submission.
"Looks like it worked," Rook muttered, impressed but wary. "But how do we know it won't turn on us?"
Kruger's smirk was razor-sharp. "Because unlike the fools who unleashed the virus before … I command the dead."
A steel door hissed open, and Dr. Sylvia 'Plague Mistress' Voss entered, a twisted smile on her face. Behind her, several more prisoners were dragged in—resistance fighters, rcenaries, and traitors.
"You wanted more test subjects?" Voss said, tilting her head. "I brought you a selection."
Kruger approached the terrified prisoners, his gloved hand tracing the hilt of his combat knife. He knelt before one, a woman with defiant eyes who had a fresh wound on her arm—likely a close call with an infected.
"You will all serve," Kruger declared, voice low and commanding. "Whether you live… or die first is up to you."
The woman spat at his boots. "I'd rather rot."
Kruger chuckled darkly. "Then rot you shall." He turned to Voss. "Turn her. Let her be the first of my new Death Brigade."
Voss injected the Crimson Strain directly into her veins. The woman convulsed violently, her screams echoing through the chamber. Her body twisted, veins blackening, and then—silence.
Her head snapped up, but her eyes no longer held defiance. Only loyalty.
Kruger turned to his growing army of undead soldiers, his voice cutting through the steel walls like a blade.
"War is coming. But this ti, I will not just conquer the living… I will rule the dead."
As alarms blared, the doors of the facility slamd open—and Kruger's undead army marched forth.
