With his arms crossed over his powerful chest, Kruger stood atop the ruins, watching as the last flickers of resistance were snuffed out. The Legion of the Damned, his army of bio-enhanced undead, moved with precision, dragging survivors from the wreckage and forcing them to their knees before their new master.
"rcy…" one of the captured soldiers whimpered, his voice barely a whisper.
Kruger's cold gaze settled on the man. Without a word, he stepped forward, unsheathing his combat knife with a slow, deliberate motion. The blade glead under the moonlight—razor-sharp, unstoppable, rciless.
"rcy?" Kruger echoed, his deep voice laced with mockery. "rcy is for the weak."
In a swift motion, he plunged the blade into the soldier's throat, twisting as warm blood splattered onto the cracked stone below. The other captives trembled, their bodies betraying their fear.
Sergeant Darius 'Hellhound' Rook smirked, stepping forward. "Should we keep any of them for interrogation?"
Kruger wiped the blood from his knife against his sleeve before sliding it back into its sheath. "No need."
With a simple hand gesture, the Legion moved in, tearing through the remaining prisoners with rciless efficiency. Flesh ripped, bones snapped, screams filled the night. It was a symphony of horror—one that Kruger conducted with absolute authority.
From the shadows, a figure erged—Dr. Sylvia 'Plague Mistress' Voss. Her long coat billowed slightly in the wind as she approached, her expression twisted into a satisfied smirk. "Efficient, as always, General," she mused, adjusting her bio-mask. "But I assu you didn't call here just to watch the bloodshed."
Kruger turned to her, his gaze piercing. "How soon can we convert the bodies?"
Voss knelt beside a fresh corpse, pulling out a vial filled with a sickly green liquid. "The new strain is working beautifully. Reanimation will take less than an hour. These corpses will be part of your army before the next sunrise."
Kruger nodded approvingly. "Make it happen."
As Voss and her team of Bio-Reavers began injecting the corpses, Kruger turned his gaze toward the distant horizon. Black Hollow was only the beginning.
His next target lay beyond the mountains—a heavily fortified city, one of the last strongholds of humanity.
