The scent of decay lingered in the air as General Viktor "Bloodfang" Kruger thodically wiped his combat knife clean. His expression was cold, calculating. He stood amidst the aftermath of another brutal skirmish, bodies—both human and undead—scattered across the ruins of the industrial complex.
Kruger turned his gaze toward the distant horizon. The battle was far from over. Wolfe was still alive.
A transmission crackled in his earpiece. Sergeant Darius "Hellhound" Rook's voice ca through, his tone sharp with urgency.
"Sir, we've intercepted enemy chatter. Wolfe's regrouping at the old military bunker. Reinforcents inbound—he's bringing everything he has."
Kruger sheathed his knife and flexed his fingers. "Then we finish this."
Dr. Sylvia "Plague Mistress" Voss chid in from her command station. "I'd advise caution, General. Wolfe isn't just relying on his Flesh Revenants anymore. Our spies confirm… he's perfected sothing new."
Kruger's expression darkened. "Elaborate."
"Advanced bio-enhanced soldiers. Undead, but fully conscious. Faster, stronger, smarter than anything we've faced before. If we walk into this unprepared, even you might not walk out."
A low chuckle escaped Kruger's lips. "Then let's see what his new pets are made of."
Voss sighed. "You never listen, do you?"
Kruger turned away from the wreckage, adjusting the straps on his tactical vest. "Deploy the Necro-Brigade. We hit them before they can mobilize."
Rook's voice held a note of unease. "Sir… you sure about this? Wolfe's got the ho-field advantage."
Kruger smirked. "That just ans there's nowhere for him to run."
Midnight. The Bunker Periter.
The first wave ca fast. Too fast.
Through the haze of flickering floodlights, Kruger spotted them—the so-called "perfected" undead soldiers. Their movents were unnervingly fluid, not the mindless shambling of regular zombies.
They ca in groups, tactical formations, their glowing eyes scanning for weak points. They weren't just killing machines. They were hunters.
Kruger didn't hesitate. A single motion. A knife to the throat. The creature barely reacted, instead grabbing his wrist mid-strike. Strong. Too strong.
With a swift motion, Kruger broke free, driving a second blade into its temple. It gurgled, but didn't fall.
"That's new," Kruger muttered, before unloading two rounds into its skull. This ti, it dropped.
Gunfire erupted across the battlefield. His Necro-Brigade fought viciously, their undead soldiers clashing against Wolfe's bio-enhanced abominations. The air filled with the sickening sounds of flesh tearing, bones snapping.
Then, through the chaos, Kruger saw him.
Colonel Wolfe.
Standing atop the bunker's entrance, clad in reinforced combat armor, his veins blackened by his own virus.
"Kruger!" Wolfe bellowed. "This war ends tonight!"
Kruger smirked, twirling his knife. "I was hoping you'd say that."
He advanced. The final battle had begun.
