The cold wind howled through the ruined fortress, carrying the stench of decay. Storm clouds lood overhead, casting eerie shadows over the battlefield. General Viktor "Bloodfang" Kruger stood atop the crumbling ramparts, his crimson beret barely shifting in the breeze. In his grip, a sleek black compound bow, a relic from his past as a precision hunter.

The war of the undead had entered a new phase—long-range warfare.

Through the cracked stone battlents, Kruger spotted movent in the distance. Wolfe's Flesh Revenants were advancing, their rotten bodies clad in scavenged armor, their dead eyes glowing with an unnatural light. Unlike standard undead, these abominations still retained their tactical instincts, moving in disciplined formations, adjusting their approach to minimize losses.

Kruger smirked. "Clever. But not clever enough."

He drew an arrow, its tip gleaming with necrotic toxin—a special concoction designed by Dr. Sylvia "Plague Mistress" Voss to disrupt the control signals in reanimated tissue. He pulled back the bowstring, muscles flexing with chanical precision, eyes locked onto the lead Revenant.

Release.

The arrow whistled through the air, piercing the Revenant's skull. It froze mid-step, convulsing violently before collapsing like a puppet with its strings cut. The soldiers behind it hesitated—a mistake.

Kruger fired again. And again. Every shot found its mark.

In re seconds, half a dozen Revenants lay motionless, their connection to Wolfe's hive-mind severed. The rest scattered, recognizing that Kruger wasn't just a brute—he was a ghost, a predator.

A voice crackled over his radio. Sergeant Darius "Hellhound" Rook.

"Sir, the Revenants are breaking formation, but Wolfe's bringing sothing else—a new kind of mutant. Big. Fast. Coming from the west!"

Kruger lowered his bow slightly, scanning the battlefield. Then he saw it.

A hulking, grotesque figure erged from the fog, its body a nightmarish fusion of reanimated flesh and experintal bio-weapons. It moved like a beast, clawed hands digging into the earth as it barreled toward the fortress. Its glowing red eyes locked onto Kruger.

"One of Wolfe's pets," Kruger muttered, unhooking a special arrow from his belt—an explosive-tipped payload.

He exhaled. Focused. Released.

The arrow struck the mutant square in the chest. BOOM! A deafening explosion tore through its torso, sending a shockwave through the battlefield. Flas consud its flesh, but it still moved.

Kruger narrowed his eyes. "Persistent."

As the monster roared in defiance, Kruger leaped from the ramparts, drawing his combat knife.

He was done watching. It was ti to finish this up close.
