Now reading: Chapter 975 - 975 Story 975 The Train to Nowhere from Horrific Shorts: Zombie Edition, a Action novel by Sir Faraz.

975: Story 975: The Train to Nowhere 975: Story 975: The Train to Nowhere The wind howled as the survivors stood in eerie silence.

The house was gone, but the sensation of being watched never left.

Draven checked his revolver.

Mira clutched the cursed book, still hearing the whispers of the Forsaken Girl.

Elias’ gaze was fixed ahead, where a train station erged from the mist.

A rusted sign swayed above the platform: “Terminus.”

“That wasn’t there before,” Zara muttered.

The train sat on the tracks, steam curling from beneath it.

The tal glead, pristine in a world of decay.

Its doors stood wide open, as if… inviting them in.

Elias exhaled.

“Sothing’s wrong.”

“No kidding,” Draven said.

“But we need to move.”

Mira hesitated.

The book trembled in her hands.

The Hollow Man’s laughter still echoed in her mind.

She stepped onto the platform—and the world blurred.

Darkness swallowed them whole.

Inside the train, the rules of reality unraveled.

The lights flickered a sickly yellow.

The seats were empty but lived-in, the air thick with the scent of dust, blood, and sothing ancient.

Draven tested the intercom.

Static.

No power.

Then the doors slamd shut.

The train lurched forward.

Mira’s breath quickened.

She turned to Elias—but he was gone.

So was Zara.

So was Draven.

She stood alone.

The train car stretched, endless and wrong.

Sothing moved in the aisle.

A figure.

Tall.

Twisted.

Watching.

The Hollow Man.

Mira froze.

Her pulse pounded in her skull.

He tilted his head, shadows bleeding from his form.

“The price has been paid.”

Her chest tightened.

“What… price?”

“You don’t rember?” His grin widened, revealing too many teeth.

Mira’s hands trembled.

Her mind felt… hollow.

Like sothing was missing.

Footsteps sounded behind her.

She turned—Draven stood there, his eyes blank.

“Draven?” she whispered.

He did not blink.

Did not breathe.

Her heart stopped.

Then—the train doors burst open.

A howling wind sucked her into the void.

She fell.

Fell forever.

Mira gasped awake.

The train was gone.

The others stood beside her on a desolate hill, confused.

Zara clutched her head.

“What… happened?”

Mira’s fingers curled into the dirt.

Her body felt wrong.

Like a part of her had been stolen.

And sowhere, deep in the fog, the Hollow Man watched.
