Yeban Zhao once said: You never know whether tomorrow or unexpected events will co first.
But Qin Miao felt that today was full of unexpected events.
Getting the system was unexpected, learning about the class reunion at the karting center was unexpected, discovering that Fan Yue would co was unexpected, and finding out about Fan Yue’s relationship with the class president was unexpected.
At this point, Qin Miao thought things couldn’t get more ridiculous, but the final blow ca from Qing, his deskmate for two and a half years.
When Qin Miao first got the system, it was just CPU overload with so serious overheating, but he basically still maintained his ability to think.
Now, however, Qin Miao’s CPU was really burnt out, brain overloaded like a pig.
He stood there dumbfounded, his mind completely blank.
Even the pudding in his mouth lted with white milk dripping from his mouth without him noticing.
It was quite a while later before Qin Miao hazily ca to his senses.
He didn’t sort out his thoughts in a short ti; he simply gave up on thinking.
"My locker moved, I’m done, I want to go ho." Qin Miao looked around sowhat confused, turned around, and was about to head upstairs.
Qing hurriedly pulled Qin Miao, while helping him wipe his mouth, and said with a bit of helplessness, "Still in the mood for jokes now?"
"Fan Yue never really liked you, she just treated you like any ordinary classmate, and since you’re not together with her, where’s the heartbreak coming from? Relax."
Qin Miao turned to look at Qing, wanting to say sothing but opened his mouth and couldn’t say anything.
His mind was a complete ss now.
"It’s okay, just like being injured, it might feel a little uncomfortable at first. Find so way to entertain yourself, and after ten days or half a month, you’ll find everything has passed." Qing comforted Qin Miao.
"Why are you so skilled at this?" At this mont Qin Miao’s eyebrows drooped down; though he asked the question weakly, at least he didn’t seem like he was going to leave.
Qing laughed heartily and replied, "Once you’ve been through a lot, you’ll naturally know."
Qin Miao glanced at Qing, then sat down on the stairs connecting the parking area and the reception hall on the second floor.
"Hey! The floor is dirty." Qing blocked Qin Miao for a mont, but she wasn’t preventing him from sitting; instead, she slipped a piece of paper under Qin Miao’s bottom.
Qin Miao sat down as she did, putting a piece of paper under her own bottom next to him.
They quietly sat without talking.
anwhile, the classmates below had found their karting cars and began racing on the track amid the vrooming sound of engines.
Zhu Hong and Fan Yue got into a two-seater kart. The two were very close; although they wore helts hiding their expressions, Qin Miao could imagine them chatting and laughing.
If he also drove a two-seater and overtook Zhu Hong, would Fan Yue beco interested in him?
"Don’t you want to go down and play?" As Qin Miao was idly daydreaming, Qing’s sowhat ambiguous voice sounded.
Turning his head, Qin Miao saw Qing eating a pudding with relish.
"Not interested now. I just want to find a quiet place to stay for a while." Qin Miao’s mind was chaotic, he felt he needed to sort out his thoughts.
In these two short hours, too many things caught Qin Miao off guard, events were too densely packed, making him feel like he was watching a movie, overwhelming.
"That’s no problem, but since you’re already here, if you leave directly, the classmates might wonder why you suddenly left for no reason?" Qing’s face suddenly lit up with a playful smile: "NT deskmate, you wouldn’t want the classmates to know that you like Fan Yue, right?"
Qin Miao hid it well; though he had liked Fan Yue since the start of ninth grade, he never told anyone nor did anyone notice.
Besides Qing, only Fan Yue herself had so awareness of it.
But Qin Miao restrained himself; although he would initiate conversations with Fan Yue, he would always find appropriate reasons.
Thus, Fan Yue rely thought Qin Miao was a bit botherso and vaguely suspected he might like her, but lacked definite proof.
If Qin Miao were in his normal state, he would definitely scoff at Qing’s clumsy threat.
Does he need a reason to leave? Just make up sothing like his family urgently needs him?
As for people knowing he likes Fan Yue? Not ntioning whether Qing has evidence, even if they knew, would it matter?
Frankly, everyone has graduated, about to go separate ways. At most, during festive reunions, they’d gather for a al, but daily life won’t have much overlap with high school classmates anymore.
If they know, so be it.
But now Qin Miao’s brain was a mixed stew, and his logic and reasoning abilities had also been scrapped along with it.
So facing Qing’s clumsy threat, Qin Miao asked blankly, "Then what should I do?"
Qing firmly replied, "It’s very simple!"
After cleaning the pudding stick with a tissue and tossing it into Qin Miao’s trash pocket, Qing opened her mouth: "Zhu Hong ntioned having a mini-competition, just play along casually with the classmates, after that, you can leave."
"I’ll leave with you then."
"Is it really that simple?"
"It’s really that simple!"
Qin Miao scratched his head, then sighed, "I feel like there’s sothing up with you, but my mind is all over the place now..."
"Forget it, I’ll just wait here..."
"Today, I should never have left ho, wouldn’t it be more comfortable to stay ho and play a few rounds of CSGO?"
"If not, play LOL instead."
"Or at least practice on a simulator..."
"It’s just miserable..."
Watching Qin Miao mumbling there, Qing felt an urge to smooth down his tousled hair but ultimately did nothing, rely sat silently beside him, listening to his complaints.
They remained quietly for about 10 minutes.
The classmates letting loose on the track brought their cars back to the parking area after the initial excitent wore off.
Class president Zhu Hong jumped off the two-seater kart, laughing while removing his helt.
Then, gentlemanly helped Fan Yue off her seat.
After giving a few hearty claps to draw the classmates’ attention, Zhu Hong began, "Classmates, have you all had enough of the experience?"
The classmates all nodded with smiles.
"Great, now that you’re familiar with the track, let’s start today’s mini competition."
