With Lin Ye’s safety confird, Wang Lingchuan finally relaxed.
His gaze traveled past Lin Ye, landing on what he was dragging behind him.
The sight of the massive alien corpse he was dragging with one hand like a dead dog made everyone’s pupils contract sharply.
"Is that an adult male of the Shadow Scale Race...?"
"No, it’s even more powerfully built than the adult ones."

Wang Lingchuan knew far more about the Shadow Scale Race than anyone else.

Whoever killed it was overwhelmingly stronger!
Just then, the dust storm the Galasha had kicked up in the valley finally settled.
A hellish scene unfolded before them, one that made even these soldiers, long accustod to life and death, feel their scalps tingle.
Within the valley...
Hundreds of corpses belonging to the Shadow Scale Race lay strewn everywhere, twisted into unnatural positions.
Severed limbs and chunks of viscera were scattered everywhere.
Foul-slling, dark green blood pooled into streams, staining the earth an ominous, inky black.
The overwhelming stench of blood, so thick it felt like it would never dissipate, mixed with the unique energy signature of Source Crystals and assaulted their nostrils.
A great battle had just taken place here... followed by a massacre!
Wang Lingchuan slowly turned his head, his gaze returning to Lin Ye.
"You... killed all of these?"
Lin Ye nodded, his expression serene.
He even added,
"My wristband sent a notification saying the selection was over. It confird I was in first place."
"So I didn’t bother uploading the points for these creatures."
Lin Ye’s tone was casual, as if he were discussing so trivial matter.
’Sohow, I’d already taken first place.’
’So I couldn’t be bothered to claim the points for the ones I killed afterward.’
However, this utterly nonchalant statent left Wang Lingchuan with a dumbfounded expression, unsure whether to laugh or cry.
He had gone to great trouble, assembling a large number of experts from the Gang Condensation Realm, all to co and rescue Lin Ye.
But Wang Lingchuan never imagined that while the rescue party had indeed arrived...
...the person they were ant to rescue had already wiped out all the enemies.

A dull, heavy thud.
Lin Ye casually tossed the corpse of the Galasha, which weighed several tons, onto the open ground in front of Zhang Fu’s small stall in the Linchuan Market.
Zhang Fu, who had been dozing behind his stall, was so startled by the sound that he jolted and nearly leaped out of his chair.
"Who’s there?! In the middle of the day..."
He grumbled as he looked up, but the second half of his complaint died in his throat when he saw the enormous corpse on the ground.
In an instant, his eyes went wide as saucers, his jaw hanging open wide enough to fit an egg.
The next second, a fiery light—a mixture of shock and ecstasy—erupted in his eyes.
"Ho... Holy shit!"
Zhang Fu scrambled out from behind the stall and circled the Galasha’s corpse twice, his eyes scanning it over and over.
He looked up and saw Lin Ye, his face as calm as ever.
A rush of blood went to Zhang Fu’s head.
He rembered giving Lin Ye that bottle of water for free, and the promise he’d extracted: if Lin Ye ever hunted down a "big one," he had to bring it to him to sell.
’I can’t believe it, the kid actually kept his promise!’
’And I never imagined the "big one" he hunted would be this damn incredible!’
"My friend! Oh my god! You... where in the world did you get this?!"
Zhang Fu’s voice was trembling.
"This... this is a first-rate, absolute top-quality haul!"
"Such a complete corpse of a powerful creature! The scales are hardly even damaged!"
Zhang Fu rubbed his hands together, his eyes gleaming.
He crept forward cautiously, wanting to reach out and touch it, but flinched back, intimidated by the Galasha’s ferocious appearance and the lingering, savage aura that had yet to dissipate.
Finally, Zhang Fu asked tentatively,
"It... it’s thoroughly dead, right?"
Lin Ye nodded.
With that confirmation, Zhang Fu grew bolder.
He practically threw himself onto the corpse, patting it here and tapping it there.
He even pulled out a set of professional instrunts and began to test the strength of the Galasha’s Scale Armor, its bone density, and the sharpness of its claws.
The fluctuating numbers on his instrunts made the delight on his face grow more and more intense, until his face was practically one big, crinkled smile.
After fussing over it for a good while, Zhang Fu reluctantly straightened up.
He looked at Lin Ye, his broad smile fading into a more serious and sowhat troubled expression.
"My friend, first of all, I have to thank you for thinking of first with a prize like this."
"But... forgive for being blunt, this thing you’ve brought... it’s too big. So big I can’t possibly handle the deal on my own."
Zhang Fu gave a wry smile.
"I have a proposal, see what you think... I’ll imdiately call a few trustworthy colleagues, guys in the sa line of work. We can put our heads together and buy this big score off you as a group."
He thumped his chest, his tone earnest.
"Don’t you worry. As for the price, I’ll handle it for you! If any of them dare to try and lowball you, I’ll be the first to shut them down! I’ll absolutely get you the fairest price!"
Hearing this, Lin Ye thought for a mont, then agreed.
