"No matter what, I’ll make sure our business is protected." I said to Daniel as we started moving again.

With my mind made up on what needed to be done, I started to make so plans.

Daniel wasn’t the only one that’s good at planning things you know.

Just because I liked to make an entrance when I eliminated my targets, doesn’t an that I didn’t plan my missions at all.

It took tons of planning to make the perfect and most impactful entrance.

We moved through the last of the streets of the village, talking about anything that ca to mind.

The more ti we spent outside among the people, the more it seed like Daniel was relaxing around the throngs of people.

He even started to politely greet the people that we passed.

At one point he was even letting the sa elven boy hide behind him, as his friends tried to pelt him with pebbles.

We started to have so chats with the people we ran into at the stalls, with Daniel telling them about his plan to work in the new bar that Darvel was going to build in his inn.

Without even realising it, he was naturally doing so promotional work.

At one point we were talking to a local farr and his wife, and Daniel even offered to purchase so nuts from him to serve at the bar.

Slowly he was starting to beco more comfortable just randomly talking to people on the street.

Which made smile, not only because I could see him becoming comfortable, and that he was showing the people around us the charming charismatic version of himself that I knew him to be.

But because even if he didn’t know it, if more people knew him, and either liked him, or despised him, he was building his faith.

Which would naturally draw more people to him, which would lead to more people seeing him in a similar light, and so the whole process would just keep compounding.

The man was basically building a foundation he didn’t even know he was building.

A foundation on which he would build a building in a form he couldn’t see that would beco sothing he couldn’t predict.

"We should probably get back to the inn." I said when I saw the sun start to dip toward the horizon.

"We can stay out for a bit longer, I have sothing I want to show you before we go back." He said.

He started leading back to the village square, for the entire day, for our entire walk through the village, we had almost never let go of each other’s hands.

Now so might think that that is just... too much.

But for , I wouldn’t have it any other way.

He was my husband, and I was proud to show that to anyone who could see it.

Especially those elvish sl— I an those elven girls running around in their short sumr dresses. Showing off their flawless pale skin.

I had no intention of allowing one of them to try and make a move on my man.

We arrived at the village square just as the last rays of the sun had dipped below the horizon.

Unlike that afternoon, the square was almost completely abandoned now.

Along the edges of the green small benches stood, benches that earlier were completely filled with people who were keeping an eye on their children, or having lunch, or were on dates of their own.

Daniel guided to one of these benches, where we sat down to watch as the sky turned darker, and darker, and the first light of the stars started to appear.

"Thank you," He said as he turned his gaze from the sky toward , those green eyes speaking words that his mouth didn’t need to.

"It was completely my pleasure," I answered. "I got to spend an entire day just walking around with you after all."

A small loving smile spread on his face as he turned his gaze back up at the stars.

"You know in my previous life I would spend at least an hour every night, just looking up at the sky."

"It had a way of calming , it felt like no matter what happened during the day, or how I screwed up with the people around , at least the stars would always be the sa."

"They don’t judge you, they don’t criticize anything you say or do, they simply... exist."

This was the first ti he had ever shared anything so... deep with .

Okay we had only known each other for days, but every ti I spent ti with him it felt like we had known each other for years, decades even.

"Were they any different than these?" I asked.

A small smile tugged at his lips as he nodded his head at that question.

"They were completely different." He answered, just before I could feel him reaching for his magic power, I could sense that he was going to do sothing even before he did it.

And within monts the sky was filled with thousands of tiny light orbs that drifted around us.

This had absolutely astounded , the man had only learned the basics of magic a few days ago, and now he was basically creating a light show.

Monts later I could see the beginning of a pattern start to form between the lights.

"This is what our star system looked like." Daniel finally spoke again.

Following that he continued to show how so of their stars had created interesting patterns, and he did this by linking the different lights together with a string of light between them.

Which once again completely astounded .

The amount of control he was showing was that of soone who had been practicing magic for his entire life, not for only a few days.

"It’s beautiful," I whispered.

From the corner of my eye, I could see him staring at .

"Yes it is." He answered.

I turned my gaze to him again.

Sothing about the way he was looking at , the way his usual humoristic gaze tended to turn into sothing more sincere, and serious, just kept drawing to him.

I couldn’t help but lean in for a kiss under the stars, both the natural ones, and his creations.
