Ah Hu and his people walked past the gate into the inner courtyard when a silhouette wearing a wide bamboo hat and standing in the shadow of the courtyard entrance stopped them.

"Stop. Who are you?" the feminine voice of the silhouette asked as she stepped out of the shadows.

The figure was a woman wearing a black mask. A large sword sheath rested in the sword holder on her back.

The woman was Yin Lan, Mo Xingyao’s personal guard.

"State your business," Yin Lan demanded. At the sa ti, several silhouettes wearing the sa uniform as hers appeared around Ah Hu’s group, surrounding them.

Seeing the intimidating figures encircle them, Ah Hu was shaken. His ager Core Formation cultivation could not detect their cultivation at all, which could only an that every one of them was stronger than him.

"Er... I am... I am here to see Fatty... er, I an... Mr. Ding Lao’s friend," Ah Hu stuttered nervously.

"Ding Lao’s friend?" Yin Lan repeated, thinking for a mont. "Wait here for a mont."

After speaking, Yin Lan walked into the brightly lit courtyard.

Inside the courtyard, four people were sitting around a table. On the table was a large tray holding a circular pastry that had been divided into many wedge shaped pieces. The topping of this pastry was filled with slices of at, mushrooms, and colorful peppers.

Mo Xingyao, the daughter of Mo Jue the Sky-Severing Demon, and Mo Jue himself were each enjoying a piece of the strange pastry. A yellow, gooey, sauce-like substance trailed from the top of the pastry, forcing the eater to use their other hand to carefully cover it while eating to prevent it from making a ss on the table.

"Hmmm, this pastry called pizza is great. It is very easy to eat. Though it is a bit ssy, I think its simplicity will make it sell well for us," Mo Xingyao said enthusiastically as she ate the pizza in her hand.

"Even though this cheese does not help much in terms of cultivation, it at least helps more than the normal mortal food that most cultivators eat for entertainnt. Still, it is better than nothing," Mo Jue added.

Mo Xingyao looked at her father. "Father, your cultivation is at the half step Void Refining realm. Of course you do not feel much from it. For , eating each wedge is like consuming a Qi Refining pill. It is not much, but it is many tis better than mortal food."

"This should sell to most cultivators. Do not forget that most cultivators are stuck around the Foundation Establishnt and Core Formation realms. If they are at the Qi Refining realm, they could treat each wedge as a Qi Gathering pill," she added.

While the two mbers of the Mo family enjoyed the pizza, Wei Chen was observing Fatty Ding Lao, who was sitting in front of his cauldron.

"Honestly, benefactor Wei, I only wanted to try creating a new kind of Qi Gathering pill. I did not expect to make this... food ingredient," Ding Lao said to Wei Chen, who was observing him while checking the remains of the pill that had hardened into a deep yellow substance.

"Hmm, this ti you made cheddar cheese. This is excellent. Mozzarella and cheddar, great. Now I can finally eat a cheeseburger," Wei Chen said with a touch of lancholy.

Mo Xingyao turned toward him. "Hm? What is a cheeseburger? Is it delicious?"

"It is a nice and fast food, but it might not look very presentable to so people. You could think of it as a stuffed stead bun, but with cheese and fresh vegetables stacked vertically in a single column. So crazy people even make it into a tower," Wei Chen explained.

Yes, he rembered so people who loved cheese far too much and ate as if they hated their own legs. Of course, it was not cheese alone that caused this. Their lifestyle also played a role, leading them to eventually say goodbye to their legs.

Still, it was not that he did not understand them. Cheese, bacon, french fries, potato chips, and other devilish temptations were the kind of food that you knew could ruin your health if eaten too much, yet you could not help yourself and still ate a whole lot of them.

As a forr Arican, he understood this very well, judging by the number of people in that country who needed to consult doctors about their weight. He truly understood them.

But seriously, should he bring this kind of devilish temptation food to this world?

Absolutely. He would bring it here. At the very least, if those young masters gained so weight, they might feel too tired to go out and hunt jade beauties. Even better would be introducing television and potato chip couch culture to this world.

It was very difficult for cultivators to develop diabetes anyway, because most of the food they digested would be converted into spiritual qi. Excess waste such as too much cholesterol would be expelled through their pores when they broke through a small realm.

Yes, by introducing devilish temptation food, he was helping this world... and his boss too....

While Wei Chen was still lost in his own nonsense, Mo Xingyao imagined a cheeseburger as a towering stuffed bun built like a pagoda. It might look strange, but it could be interesting enough to sell, she thought.

At this ti, Yin Lan walked in, and Mo Xingyao quickly noticed her bodyguard and friend.

"Sister Lan, over here. Try this pizza!" Mo Xingyao offered a piece of pizza from the tray to Yin Lan.

"Er... young miss, there are..." But before Yin Lan could finish, Mo Xingyao pushed it toward her again.

"Co on, Sister Lan. Try it!"

Seeing her young miss insist on giving her this strange pastry, Yin Lan hesitated. She glanced at her sect patriarch for advice, as she was still on duty.

Noticing Yin Lan looking at him, Mo Jue nodded toward the pizza in his daughter’s hand. "As long as it is not alcohol, I do not mind. Try it. It is quite good."

With the approval of her sect patriarch, Yin Lan finally accepted it.

After examining it briefly, she took off her mask and placed it on the table, then took the pizza from her young miss’s hand, put it into her mouth, and began to chew.

"Hmmm. It is good!"

"Right? This was made by Wei Chen, you know. That guy always cos up with all kinds of strange food," Mo Xingyao agreed.

Yin Lan nodded along with her young miss and continued eating with relish.

Piece after piece of pizza went into her stomach until she finished the fifth slice out of the remaining eight. Only after receiving a sharp stare from her young miss and her friend did she finally stop.

"Ah. I am... I am sorry. I was..." She blushed in embarrassnt and hurriedly apologized to her young miss and her sect patriarch.

At this mont, she could not help but send a fierce glare at Wei Chen, who was still talking with Fatty Ding Lao, for making this pizza. This heavenly pastry was sothing she could not stop herself from eating.

Then it struck her. That’s right! Fatty Ding Lao! The person outside who wanted to et Ding Lao’s friend must be here for this bad guy, Wei Chen!

"Er... young miss, there is soone outside who wants to et Mr. Wei," Yin Lan said.

"Huh? What kind of person wants to et that guy?" Mo Xingyao asked.

Hearing this, Yin Lan reported everything to Mo Xingyao, and Wei Chen also heard the conversation.

Mo Xingyao turned toward Wei Chen. "Do you know him?"

"No idea," Wei Chen shook his head. "Maybe I would rember if I see that guy’s ugly mug," he said with his usual smirk.

"You heard him. Call that guy here," Mo Xingyao said to her bodyguard.

"Yes, young miss," Yin Lan replied, then went outside to call Ah Hu in.

...

Outside, Ah Hu was waiting. It had been about fifteen minutes since the masked woman entered. He did not know how much longer he would need to wait. At the very least, he wished there were a place to sit.

Ah Hu thought about finding a place to sit, but judging by the stares he received from the bamboo hat figures, he was afraid of getting too comfortable. In the end, he decided to continue standing and wait.

At this mont, one of the bamboo hat n standing nearest to him suddenly rushed forward.

Ah Hu was alard, afraid that he was about to be attacked. However, contrary to his expectation, the man moved past him and stopped behind Ah Hu before slashing outward.

Clink!

A sharp tallic sound rang out as a hidden weapon was deflected to the ground. A slender needle pierced into the nearby soil.

"Who’s there!?" one of the sword division mbers shouted toward the direction where the hidden weapon had co from.
