The Demon Evil’s eyes hardened, and its remaining arm was raised in an attempt to block. As expected, against the Sky Strike, the arm was no match for its sharp edge. It only paused for less than a breath before being cleanly severed. However, in that brief, almost negligible pause, the Demon Evil cunningly rolled to the side, narrowly evading the fatal strike.
Such an unexpected twist caused Shen Changqing’s face to darken as he activated his Seven Stars Stepping on Air Step, leaving a residual image of his body in his place. By the ti the Eternal Alliance Master and the others launched their next offensive, all they struck was the slowly fading afterimage.
Elsewhere, before the Demon Evil could rejoice, it was pierced through the chest by a long saber and fatally pinned to the ground.
GURGLE! A torrent of blood surged from its mouth and wound, yet it did not die instantly.
Shen Changqing’s expression was icy. "Die!"
He stomped down.
The massive head burst open like a waterlon.
As the Demon Evil fell, a surge of Spiritual Power instantly flooded into Shen Changqing’s mind. Under this impact, he entered a brief state of stupor.
The next instant, a mighty attack arrived, causing his Flesh to rupture and blood to spurt out. The excruciating pain snapped Shen Changqing out of his daze imdiately.
When he looked back at the field, the remaining three Demon Evils and the Eternal Alliance Master bore down on him with a torrential assault.
"Kill him!" a chilling voice echoed.
The other three Demon Evils, though silent, were seething with anger. All five joined forces. They had not only failed to kill Shen Changqing but had also allowed him to slay one of their own with the force of a thunderbolt. If they didn’t kill him now, the Eternal Alliance would lose all face.
Inside his Sea of Consciousness, the Spiritual Power surged. anwhile, a significant threat lood outside. Shen Changqing forcefully suppressed the turmoil in his Sea of Consciousness and then suddenly unleashed a saber strike forward, colliding with that force.
The next instant, the Blade Gang shattered. Both forces dissipated into nothingness.
At that mont, he diverted half of his attention into his panel, where his Slaughter Value had leaped from a little over one hundred points directly to five hundred.
Upgrade!
With a re thought, the Divine Heaven Golden Body’s third stage transford into the fourth.
Simultaneously, his Martial Arts automatically activated, pulling floods of nature’s spiritual energy as if magnetically drawn.
Above the Firmant, dark clouds began to converge.
The Eternal Alliance Master, behind his mask, looked solemn, unclear about what was happening. Yet, he had no ti to consider it any further.
Shen Changqing had slain a mid-ranked Demon Evil with the force of a thunderbolt, at the cost of sustaining significant injuries himself. At such a ti, it was crucial to strike at his vulnerability and go for the kill. Otherwise, the Eternal Alliance Master doubted he would have another chance to kill Shen Changqing should this opportunity slip by.
"Strike with all your might! Don’t give him a chance to breathe!" the demonized Eternal Alliance Master bellowed angrily. Though his mask hid his face, the endless murderous intent was evident in his voice.
The Yin Evil Aura erupted. The surrounding air temperature plumted.
The three mid-ranked Demon Evils remained silent, clearly holding nothing back in their attacks.
Four forces converged. The air itself erupted.
Shen Changqing made no attempt to resist the destructive wave that approached; instead, he looked up at the sky. There, thunder bood down from above.
RUMBLE!
The thunder, like a pillar, devoured all the attacking forces in an instant as it struck. And it didn’t stop there. Due to their proximity, the thunder directly enveloped the Eternal Alliance Master and his companions as well.
In that mont, the darkness of Heaven and Earth ceased. All that remained was the brilliant, blinding light of lightning, too intense for anyone to gaze upon.
BOOM! BOOM!!
The dark clouds swirled violently, with lightning more ferocious than ever before striking down frantically, interweaving into a destructive field of thunder, Lei Hai. As for the figures of Shen Changqing and his companions, they were completely obscured from view. Amid the rumbling thunder, faint roars of rage could be heard.

As the heavenly thunder appeared, elsewhere the Demonfolk and Demon Evils had already banded together. There was no choice. Against a severely injured Ji Tianlu, no single Demon Evil could contend with him. Even now, united, they could only passively defend.
However, with Ji Tianlu entering the fray, the other mbers of the Demon-Subduing Division, as well as the defenders of Mountain-Breaking City, couldn’t easily join in. After all, the power unleashed by such formidable entities could crumble mountains and cleave valleys. Ordinary people who ca too close risked being obliterated by the aftershocks. Therefore, after Ji Tianlu’s intervention, most of the others were either watching from the sidelines or hunting down so of the weaker Demon Evils.
This ti, the main force attacking Mountain-Breaking City consisted of the Eternal Alliance Master and the four mid-ranked Demon Evils. Next in line were the Grandmaster Level Demonfolk of the Eternal Alliance and about a dozen Fiend Level Strange Monsters. At the very end were the Resentnt Level and Ghostly Level Strange Monsters, comparable to cannon fodder and mainly serving to cause confusion.
Initially, the plan was for the Eternal Alliance’s mbers to bring so Demon Evils into the city, letting them wreak havoc inside to spread thin the Demon-Subduing Division’s forces. As it turned out, before the Eternal Alliance mbers could even get through the city gates, they were foiled by the asures Shen Changqing had put in place.
