"Lord Shen, please look!" Zhang Yue stepped aside, revealing the secret chamber behind him.
Shen Changqing stepped forward and saw the skeletons scattered across the chamber and the bed placed at the far end.
"It seems this was the dwelling of that Demonfolk," Shen Changqing observed, his expression turning cold. The nature of the skeletons scattered on the floor was all too clear.
The Demonfolk, having sustained injuries, naturally needed to recover. He recalled the information from the Heavenly Inspection Guard: people had been disappearing frequently in Lin’an City over the past one or two years, and all clues pointed towards the Zhang Family. Comparing this with the scattered skeletons, the answer beca obvious. That Demonfolk might have arrived at the Zhang Family only in the last year or two, subsequently turning them into Corpse Puppets. Alternatively, they might have been present for much longer, but their injury likely occurred within the past one or two years. So governnt officials brought a carriage, loaded all the boxes, and transported them back to the Yan. anwhile, Zhang Yue and his remaining n doused the entire Zhang Family estate with fuel oil. "Lord Shen, everything is ready!" Zhang Yue said respectfully, holding a torch.

"Zhang Yue, is there any possibility of us coexisting peacefully with the Demon Evil?" Shen Changqing suddenly asked, watching the flas.
Zhang Yue was montarily stunned but quickly recovered. "Lord Shen, you jest. The Demon Evil survive by devouring the Essence Blood of the Human Clan. To them, we of the Human Clan are rely food. How could there be any possibility of peaceful coexistence?
"If it weren’t for the Demon-Subduing Division keeping them in check, the people of Great Qin might have long ago beco nourishnt for the Demon Evil.
"To say nothing of others; if it weren’t for you, Lord Shen, we ourselves would likely not have survived!"
"You’re right." Shen Changqing nodded in deep agreent. "To the Demon Evil, the Human Clan is rely food; how could there be any possibility of coexistence? As long as the Demon Evil are not exterminated, the Human Clan will never know peace!"
In the past, he had read many records about Demon Evil at the Demon-Subduing Division, but those were rely written accounts. Only through this mission did he truly comprehend how abhorrent the relationship between the Human Clan and Demon Evil was. If Demon Evil are not eradicated, the Human Clan cannot thrive.
