「The next day.」
Shen Changqing went to find Gongye Yue. The latter's ntal state was very good, clearly having made ample preparations. He did not waste words.
"Let's start. Strike at with all your might, without holding back," he said. "This will determine my assessnt of you."
"Lord Defender, I seek your guidance!"
Gongye Yue did not offer any false modesty. He knew that his strength was no different from that of a child in front of Shen Changqing.
As soon as Shen Changqing finished speaking, Gongye Yue first bowed respectfully. Then, with a solemn expression, he assud a stance, and the scene cald down.
One breath.
Two breaths.
Shen Changqing stood with his hands behind his back, his eyes calm and undisturbed.
Gongye Yue's forehead began to show a sheen of sweat. Although Shen Changqing made no movents, in Gongye Yue's eyes, he seed to stand there like a mountain, exerting trendous pressure on him. He wanted to attack but didn't know where to begin.
"If you don't attack now, I won't be wasting ti with you," Shen Changqing reminded.
Upon hearing this, Gongye Yue forcefully suppressed the emotions in his heart, lunged forward in a quick step, and launched a palm strike with all his might. As fast as thunder. As fierce as a tiger.
As an Innate Martial Artist, his strength was naturally extraordinary.
However, that swift and fierce palm strike seed as slow as a turtle's crawl in Shen Changqing's eyes. Only when the force of the palm was upon him did he slightly move his feet, his form disappearing from the spot like an apparition.
In the courtyard, Gongye Yue's assault was relentless, the Gongye Family's heritage being displayed to its fullest extent in his hands. Shen Changqing, on the other hand, seed as though he didn't exist. Every ti an attack was about to hit him, he would gracefully move away. No matter how much Gongye Yue increased his speed, he could never touch even the hem of Shen Changqing's clothes.
After one hour, Shen Changqing lifted his hand, and his index finger pointed out lightly.
BOOM!!
The air exploded. A terrifying force burst from the fingertip, sending Gongye Yue flying through the air.
By the ti he landed, Gongye Yue barely managed to stabilize himself, his flesh and blood surging chaotically. Now, all he felt was shock. Although he had long known there was a huge difference in strength between them, still, upon truly witnessing it, Gongye Yue couldn't help feeling a sense of defeat in his heart. The gap was too large. His full-strength effort seed like child's play in Shen Changqing's eyes. Yet a light touch of Shen Changqing's finger had nearly cost him his life. He had believed that single finger strike represented Shen Changqing's full strength. Little did he know that even in that simple gesture, Shen Changqing had held back nine-tenths of its force. Otherwise, an Innate Martial Artist like him would have been blasted to death on the spot.
Soon, Gongye Yue collected his thoughts and bowed deeply, "Lord Defender, your strength is transcendent, and I willingly admit defeat."
"There's no need for the title of disciple," Shen Changqing interrupted him, raising his hand. "You have only joined the Martial Hall and have not taken as your master. Furthermore, I have no intention of taking disciples. You should address as Pavilion Master, like the other mbers of the Martial Hall."
Although he had agreed to Gongye Heng, that did not an he would take Gongye Yue as his disciple. The idea of taking disciples was sothing he had never entertained. Previously, his strength was too weak. Although it had grown considerably since then, he still felt it wasn't enough. Besides, Gongye Yue's talent was acceptable, but it still didn't et his standards for taking disciples. Unless there was soone with truly extraordinary talent, or he himself had reached the end of his path and needed to pass on his legacy... Only then might he consider taking a disciple. But for now, it was absolutely impossible.
Upon hearing this, there was a clear look of disappointnt in Gongye Yue's eyes, but he dared not say more.
"Your palm technique is quite exquisite, but it seems sowhat incomplete. I also see that your moves are a bit too aggressive. Also, your True Qi might be considered pure among those in the Innate Realm. However, if you wish to rise to a higher level, such True Qi is ultimately too muddled. Furthermore, your flesh is weak, clearly indicating a shallow foundation in the Body Tempering Realm. If you want to break through to the Grandmaster or even Great Grandmaster Realm in the future, you cannot neglect your physical body—"
Shen Changqing spoke unhurriedly, listing all of Gongye Yue's problems.
It would be difficult for any Grandmaster to so thoroughly identify all the problems of an Innate Martial Artist. But Shen Changqing was different. As the sole Immortal Golden Body Realm powerhouse of the age, his insights were so acute they were beyond the reach of ordinary people. Just one look was all he needed to detect all the issues with Gongye Yue. The reason for the sparring was purely to understand more comprehensively and also to make Gongye Yue aware of how great the gap between them was. Only by instilling respect could he properly offer guidance.
After speaking, Shen Changqing approached Gongye Yue and placed a finger directly on the latter's forehead. The next mont, a surge of thoughts flowed into Gongye Yue's mind.
"I will bestow upon you the Chiyang Divine Palm, the Great Sun Golden Body, and the Great Sun Scripture. These three techniques possess power that is extrely vigorous and yang-oriented. If cultivated in unison, they can unleash unparalleled might. Your Gongye Family's Martial Arts are not bad, but they fall short compared to truly top-notch Martial Arts. Starting today, you will focus solely on cultivating these three techniques!"
Shen Changqing withdrew his finger.
The Divine Soul Transmission thod was a technique he had developed, inspired by the interface's rging ability, and then utilizing his own powerful Divine Soul Power.
