As such, the man panted and explained, “Although ordinary Corpse Poison might harm the cultivators, they’ll be fine as long as they fend it off in ti. However, Source Corpse Poison is different. It cos from the Source Power of the Blood Race mbers. Once a person is struck by it, it’s incurable. Moreover, he’ll turn into a Corpse Race mber after he passes away.”
He looked down at the wound in his chest and put on a sorrowful smile before looking at Lu Ye again. “So, I’m dood.”
That was the reason he wasn’t willing to take Antidote Pills. In this apocalyptic era, Spirit Pills were precious. Besides Antidote Pills, even the most basic pills used for cultivation couldn’t be wasted. Cultivators from Jiu Zhou could never understand that.
“Little Brother, since we’re both Humans, I’ll only ask you to do a favour.” The man’s chest heaved. “Send them back to the base. Since you have nowhere to go, you can go to the base and stay there.”

On the other hand, the woman suddenly cald down. She picked up her Husband’s hand and rubbed it against her face before putting on a sorrowful smile. “Husband, what’s the point of living in this world without you?”
Upon hearing that, the young woman exclaid, “Aunt Shen!”
She was ready to charge forward, but it was too late.
As soon as the woman finished speaking, she dismissed the defensive layer around her and drove all of her Spiritual Power to her other hand before striking her own chest.
Following the attack, a dent ford in her chest and the veins around her heart broke apart. She sprayed out a mouthful of blood, and her vitality was dissipating fast.
Lu Ye hadn’t expected the woman to be so madly in love and so resolute. She must’ve made up her mind while coming back here. It was already too late when he ca to his senses and tried to stop her.
“Aunt Shen!” The young woman pounced on her and bawled her eyes out.
The woman wasn’t dead yet. She told the young woman in a small voice, “Rember to deal with our corpses.”
Then, her head slumped onto the man’s chest.
While the young woman was mournful, Lu Ye looked on in silence. It was the first ti he experienced the struggle of Humans trying to survive in an apocalyptic era.
It wasn’t until a long ti later that the young woman stopped crying and got to her feet tremblingly. She turned to look at Lu Ye with reddened eyes. “Senior Brother, is the Attribute of your Spiritual Power Fire?”
Just now, Lu Ye appeared out of nowhere and destroyed the Corpse Race mber. The young woman had certainly seen the Attribute of his Spiritual Power. At that ti, Lu Ye was engulfed in a red Spiritual Power, making him look like a fireball.
