“Yes,” the person replied and returned to the shadows. It was apparent that Xu Wang was reputable in the base.

Xu Wang dispelled the Ward and revealed the entrance. It was a dark cave with so dim firelight radiating from inside.

“This way, please,” Xu Wang said and led the way for them.

Upon entering the cave, they saw that there were torchlights at regular intervals. They went down spirally for quite a while before a cavern appeared before their eyes. Lu Ye reckoned that they were now 900 tres beneath the ground.

The cavern was spacious with many people moving around. On both sides, there were rooms carved into the walls.

Upon seeing Xu Wang, many people greeted him. At the sa ti, they looked curiously at Lu Ye and Ying Wuji.
