Although a large-scale insectoid attack had broken out suddenly, many cultivators ca over from all directions and brought the situation under control. However, so people would probably be injured or killed.
Lu Ye had lured most of the insectoids to this plain, but many had still dispersed and would cause so impact on the villages and cities within a radius of 1,000 kilotres around there.
As ti passed, the number of insectoids decreased. On the plain, cultivators were seen destroying the insectoids. The desolate land was covered with the carcasses of insectoids.
More and more cultivators were coming over upon learning the news.
Lu Ye’s team was well-balanced with cultivators who focused on different Ways. Naturally, they were efficient at killing insectoids. It also ca as a surprise that they could earn battle points by destroying these insectoids.
During the intense battle, Lu Ye was suddenly alard. When he lifted his head, he saw a figure swooping down on them.
His magnificent aura and the imnse pressure from him showed that the person was a Divine Ocean Realm Master.
Lu Ye almost felt that the person intended to attack them. Fortunately, the Divine Ocean Realm Master they didn’t know changed directions when he was 90 tres away from them. He pushed out his fist and destroyed the skull of a hyena-like insectoid which was covered in bones.
The insectoid was fairly formidable as its power was equivalent to that of a Real Lake Realm Master. The bones around its figure gave it sturdy defence, so it would take so effort to kill the insectoid.
Lu Ye and the others had dealt with many insectoids of this kind, so they fully understood that.
When Lu Ye saw the Divine Ocean Realm Master charging towards the group of insectoids on his own, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Just now, he truly felt that the Divine Ocean Realm Master was about to attack them.
With a frown, he cast the thoughts away and continued to work with his team mbers to deal with the enemies.
The mont the Divine Ocean Realm Master descended from the sky, Qiu Min, who was looking at the Moon Reflection Disc in silence in the yard on the Spirit Peak of the Devoted Ones, noticed a change in sight on the disc. Her expression changed as she lifted her head and growled, “Tai Shan!”
Tai Shan remained seated and said with a smile, “Ti’s up, Senior Sister Qiu.”
“I’ll give it to you. Don’t hurt Chan’er!” Qiu Min spoke and cast sothing at Tai Shan, who took it from her.
It was at that mont that the sight on the Moon Reflection Disc changed again. Since the person holding the disc had changed directions, Feng Yuechan and the others could no longer be seen.
Qiu Min frowned and snapped. “You fooled !”
Tai Shan had been seated there without trying to contact anyone. Moreover, he had erased his Battlefield Imprint long ago, so he couldn’t contact anyone from such a long distance.
However, the person holding the Moon Reflection Disc still changed directions at the most critical mont.
In other words, Tai Shan had already made an arrangent. Even if Qiu Min never handed over the item, Feng Yuechan would still be safe.
“Who knows?” Tai Shan was pleased after getting the item he wanted. “Certainly, I wouldn’t want to hurt Big Brother Wujiang’s Daughter, but if anyone insists on getting in the way, I don’t even know what I’ll do. Please pardon , Senior Sister Qiu.” Despite his mild tone, he was threatening.
As he spoke, he kept the disc the size of a palm.
“What on Earth are you up to? What’s that disc?”
“You’ll find out what I’m planning to do at a later ti. This disc is an important part of my plan. That’s all I can say. Please look forward to it, Senior Sister Qiu.”
Qiu Min had a premonition, feeling that sothing major was about to happen.
Tai Shan recalled sothing as he said, “By the way, please make a Heavenly Oath that you won’t tell anyone about what has happened today.”
Qiu Min stared icily at him. “What if I don’t?”
It was a serious matter as even the Deputy Sect Master of the Devoted Ones worked for Tai Shan. How horrifying was that?
“What’s the point of you being obstinate, Senior Sister?” Tai Shan glanced at her. “Even if you make Yuechan stay by your side, you might not be able to ensure her safety. I don’t think you want to know how capable I am.”
Qiu Min looked away and said grimly, “Don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone about it.”
“Please make a Heavenly Oath, Senior Sister.” Tai Shan stared fixedly at her.
A helpless Qiu Min lowered her head and made a Heavenly Oath right there and then.
She couldn’t put Feng Yuechan’s life at risk. Therefore, even though Feng Wujiang had told her not to give the disc to Tai Shan, she still handed it over.
After all, Feng Yuechan was their only child and her reason for living in this world.
When Qiu Min opened her eyes, Tai Shan was nowhere to be found. Only his voice was heard coming from a distance. “Thanks for granting my wish, Senior Sister. You’ll understand my good intentions when I succeed.”
Tai Shan was gone.
Qiu Min sat down on a chair and remained unmoving for a long ti. Even though she was a Divine Ocean Realm Master, everything that had happened so far was shocking to her. There were many things she couldn’t figure out.
It wasn’t until she heard so footsteps approaching that she ca to her senses. When she lifted her head, she saw Yu Guanjia coming over.
“Get lost!” She stared icily at him.
Yu Guanjia parted his lips in an attempt to say sothing, but he remained silent in the end. He cupped his fists and turned around to leave.
After a day of intense battle, the insectoids on the plain were mostly killed. The cultivators dispersed to look for the insectoids which had escaped.
Lu Ye was doing that as well with his team mbers. They would occasionally find so insectoids.
Soon enough, they received news that the insectoid nest had been found at the bottom of Foggy Cliff.
Many Divine Ocean Realm Masters were ready to go over and destroy the insectoid nest. However, even Divine Ocean Realm Masters were at a disadvantage at a place such as Foggy Cliff. Therefore, they wouldn’t dare to make any move before finding out everything about what was going on at the bottom of Foggy Cliff.
anwhile, Lu Ye led his team mbers to arrive at the front yard of the Chen Residence.
He was there to find out what happened to the commoners of the Chen Family. When the insectoid attack broke out, the Chen Family was the first to be impacted. Many commoners went into hiding after he gave them a heads-up. It was a wonder how many people were safe.
The originally beautiful buildings had turned into a ss. They must’ve been affected when the insectoids attacked this place. There were stains of blood and shredded clothes on the ground. It was apparent that many people had lost their lives.
A small number of weak insectoids were flying around in this place. The six of them were divided into three groups as they dispersed to destroy those insectoids and look for any survivors.
After a search, the result was neither good nor bad.
Many people from the Chen Family had lost their lives, but so survived. These were quick-witted people. Right after they heard Lu Ye’s heads-up, they went to hide in the basents, which was why they survived.
Lu Ye’s heart grew heavy.
He had no rcy or sympathy when he killed the Chen Family cultivators. After all, they were enemies, so only one party could survive. Naturally, he had no qualms about ending their lives.
Nevertheless, the Chen Family cultivators’ doing had nothing to do with these commoners.
Following the calamity, fewer than 500 people from the Chen Family were still alive. They certainly couldn’t restore their past glory, but they could spend the rest of their lives peacefully.
When Lu Ye received a ssage on his Battlefield Imprint, he quickly had a look.
He lifted his head a mont later and said, “Let’s go. The Commander wants us to go back to Grand Sky City and give a detailed report about this incident.”
They were only there to carry out a mission, but they were taken aback when a series of incidents took place.
The insectoid attack had nothing to do with the mbers of Team D9, but they were the ones who destroyed the Chen Family.
It was a fairly serious matter that a Tier-Six family was destroyed just like this. Even though the Chen Family cultivators were the ones who made a move first, Lu Ye had to explain himself to the Commander.
He also wanted to figure out why the Chen Family cultivators even did such a thing. He was unable to find any useful clues, so he had to rely on the Ministry of Laws. Perhaps Qian Wudang knew sothing about it.
As for the insectoid nest at the bottom of Foggy Cliff, it had nothing to do with Lu Ye and the others. The Divine Ocean Realm Masters would deal with it.
Just as Lu Ye was ready to fish out a Spirit Boat and leave the place, he turned to look in a different direction. The next instant, he felt a chill running down his spine because an alluring figure was suddenly seen on a broken roof in that direction.
No one knew when she even ca. It was as though she had been there all along and watching them in silence.
She had a curvy figure, and her clothes were skimpy. Any man would feel their blood boiling just by looking at her. While standing there, she exuded an irresistible charm, making it impossible for anyone to move their eyes away from her. Since she was wearing a mask, her face couldn’t be seen.
However, Lu Ye could instantly recognise that she was the one who flew over them the other day. Xiang Dongliu was defeated by this woman.
What made Lu Ye shocked and doubtful was that he had seen the mask the woman was wearing before.
It was a white mask with red or blue stripes on either side.
He had co into contact with people who were wearing such masks on two occasions. The first ti was when he was hunted down on the Cloud River Battlefield. A woman with this mask who was supposedly a Real Lake Realm Master lent him a helping hand.
The other ti happened several months ago. When he left Blue Fla Mountain Pass and headed to Grand Sky City for a promotion, he ca across a man with such a mask while on his way. He contended with the man and drove him away.
This was the third ti he saw soone with that mask.
Although he had only co into contact with these people on several occasions, he was certain that they belonged to the sa mysterious organisation. It was a wonder why they wanted to get in touch with him.
Lu Ye was unwilling to have anything to do with them. He frequently wore a mask himself, so he understood that people who weren’t willing to show their faces usually had so ill intentions.
As their eyes t, Lu Ye felt his heart racing. Without hesitation, he ordered, “Run!”
As soon as he finished speaking, he unsheathed his saber and charged forward.
Although he had no idea why the woman was there, she was apparently up to no good since she showed up at this point.
