"Anna?"

The mural wasn't very detailed, and Sun Hang could only make out that the person tied to the surgery bed was a girl. Whether it was the white-haired girl in the glass jar or soone else was hard to tell.

The mural seed to depict an event at a research institute (or hospital). This kind of bed with restraints was designed to prevent patients who had lost consciousness or were in a state of ntal chaos from moving recklessly. But Sun Hang always felt that, compared to that girl lying quietly, the group in white coats dancing around the surgery bed should be the ones enjoying such treatnt.

Their ntal state couldn't be considered peaceful or stable; at the very least, it was insanely extre... Even though the faces of these people in white coats on the mural were covered with masks, leaving only their eyes exposed, the mural's artist thoughtfully painted their eyeballs a bright crimson red.

Normal humans have irises of many colors, but none are crimson red.

Unless all these people in white coats were patients with acute conjunctivitis...

"Dancing... are they celebrating sothing? Or, is it so kind of sacrificial ritual?" Sun Hang muttered to himself, recalling the natives on Pratangbuck Island who danced around bonfires during their festivals, with the roasted at and fish on the bonfire serving as offerings to "The Flower of Joy".

Could it be that the girl tied to the surgery bed was the sacrifice that these people in white coats wanted to offer to so being?

Using a young virgin as a living sacrifice is a custom that seems to exist in many places; similar folklore stories are quite common.

Sun Hang continued to walk forward, yet beside the mural was a series of blanks—it was unclear whether these were left unfinished or erased by so eerie force.

Once bitten by a snake, ten years afraid of the well-rope—Sun Hang instinctively thought about the Three Monkeys statue, which had stopped him from uncovering the truth more than once... a repeat offender indeed.

Sun Hang had long noticed that the murals on the do were arranged chronologically, so if this last mural described an event on the island, then the next one would likely reveal the truth about the accident over a hundred years ago.

He wouldn't be surprised at all if the Three Monkeys erased that content.

The tremors coming from above finally stopped; by now the underground structure of the Naless Island Research Institute must have completely collapsed, and the hunters left in the lab were probably in dire straits... But even if Sun Hang rescued them, in their current state, they would end up like the survivors who escaped back to the mainland those years ago, dying one by one from various "accidents".

He was unsure about the situation at the underground dock... The dock was directly connected to the open sea beneath it, so even if the top completely caved in, the submarine could smoothly leave Naless Island—of course, the premise being that the fishern and Shino could successfully start up the nuclear submarine that had been docked for over a hundred years.

Perhaps due to its bowl-like design, this "sanctuary" wasn't affected, only a few inconspicuous cracks appearing on the do.

Sun Hang revisited all the murals again; he wasn't in a hurry to leave anymore... After all, everything that needed to explode had exploded, the culprit behind the island's curse had turned into a dry corpse, and even the Yamata Orochi, lurking not far from the coast...

Wait?!

Sun Hang suddenly felt an incredibly strong presence rapidly approaching from below the water... Imdiately, the entire "sanctuary" began to tremble once again, the water surface churning, with a mass of bubbles rising as if it were boiling.

With a splash, a massive serpent head broke through the water, followed by a second, a third...

If it weren't for the fact that the space inside the "sanctuary" and the size of the pool could only accommodate three serpent heads, Sun Hang might have suspected that the Yamata Orochi would squeeze all eight of its heads into this tiny building—compared to the Yamata Orochi, this place was indeed quite "tiny".

An indescribably chilling air filled the "sanctuary", and three pairs of dark golden vertical pupils fixed on Sun Hang,

one of the serpent heads slightly parted its lips, revealing a half-visible crimson, forked tongue.

Compared to the size of Yamata Orochi, Sun Hang was akin to a raisin... Imagine if a raisin accidentally fell into a drain, would a normal person shove their head into the drain to find that raisin?

What this giant snake was doing now was similar to soone trying to shove their head into a drain.

"Hello," Sun Hang waved at the Yamata Orochi, "I don't even know what to say right now, how about I wish you a happy new year in advance."

The imnse oppressive feeling suddenly vanished, and one of the serpent heads slowly lowered, gently nudging against Sun Hang's leg.

"Hold it!" Sun Hang staggered, quickly steadying himself—despite Yamata Orochi's movents being very gentle, their size difference was so vast that Sun Hang felt like he'd been hit by a high-speed train... If it weren't for the tendrils shooting out to quickly brace against the wall, he would have been sent flying.

No sooner had he spoken, than Yamata Orochi, like a chastised cat or dog, placed the three massive heads on the shore, cautiously observing Sun Hang... Sohow, Sun Hang even perceived a hint of grievance in its gaze.
