Apart from the sharp tips and a small row of barbed serrations near the tip, the surface of the segnt was smooth, almost giving a sense of "lustrous as jade." "You plan to use this as a weapon?" Lilith glanced at Ling Xiao and asked.
Ling Xiao swung the spider's limb towards the lamppost beside him, the sharp tip instantly cut a smooth-edged slit into the tal post without any pause or sense of obstruction.
"Tch, pretty sharp." Lilith nodded. "Feels like you can toss away that standard-issue dagger of yours."
Speaking, Lilith had already stepped into Factory No. 5.
A layer of light golden shield enveloped her entirely.
Though Lilith always gave off a carefree vibe, she was, after all, a seasoned Hunter... If she really was as unreliable and careless as she seed, no matter how strong her abilities were, she wouldn't have survived until now.
If Jiang Yu and Ling Xiao were to check Lilith's file, they'd be shocked to find... this "female" Hunter who looks to be in her twenties has publicly accessible mission records dating back 75 years.

"Ergency Tactical Unit? Ha," Lilith chuckled dismissively, "That group might be okay against kidnappers and KB mbers, but when it cos to dealing with mysterious creatures, they're nothing more than assistants... The CQB tactics they taught you aren't suitable for Mysterious Creature Hunters."
"Why?" Ling Xiao imdiately asked.
"When you two ca in, one was focused on the left, the other on the right, eyes mostly on those room windows and doors, then focusing on the skirting board near the ground... But do you think a mysterious creature would poke a gun barrel out a window to shoot you, or would they set up trip wires on the ground? Lilith gestured on her head with her right hand. "Do you know what you overlooked? Right above you! Right overhead! Damn it, it's always 'CT never looks up!'"
Being pointed out by Lilith, Jiang Yu and Ling Xiao finally looked up, and what they saw shocked Jiang Yu—inside the do of Factory No. 5 was covered with a layer of mbrane. The surface of this mbrane was covered with nurous bubbles, rhythmically pulsating like breathing. Through the semi-transparent mbrane of the bubbles, sothing seed to be curled up inside.
Near the entrance, the bubbles had already burst, the internal mucus dripped down, coagulating and hardening mid-air, forming a scenery akin to stalactites.
