"I'm really curious, is this black liquid an independent supernatural entity or part of the Baikal Remains?" Wang Xiyi asked Yan Yu'an.
Yan Yu'an replied, "Based on the information we have, this black liquid only appears in the supernatural building of the Mimic Cafe, and without exception, it's produced by the coffee machine... So it can be regarded as one of the 'subtype entities' that have split off from the Baikal Remains. All its information belongs under the Baikal Remains entry, and there's currently no separate number or file set for it."
"Does this thing have a code na then?"
"Yes, we all call it 'Black Latte.'" Yan Yu'an paused, took a step closer to Sun Hang, "It's starting to spread, we should get out."

It's likely not rely a singular Geng-type entity, but a composite entity made up of various types... Or perhaps, an "entity ecosystem" similar to a Surrendered Area.
If the buildings hide any traps, that would complicate things further.
Sun Hang feared nothing when alone, but now that he had more people with him, he had to consider Mr. Wang and the others.

She skillfully took the drone out of the backpack, unfolded the rotors, turned on the power, and with the buzzing of the propeller blades, the drone rapidly ascended into the air.
"Transmit the terrain scan of the nearby area to , also..."
Sun Hang hadn't finished his sentence when a gunshot rang out with a "bang," and the drone just over the cafe roof was hit by a bullet, disintegrating instantly, with nurous fragnts and parts crashing onto the street.
"Who fired the shot?!" Wang Xiyi turned serious, imdiately intending to fly into the air, but Sun Hang promptly held her back.
Sun Hang: "Don't rush."
Yan Yu'an quickly walked to the drone's wreckage, extracting a deford bullet from a pile of tal components.
"It's a standard 10mm full-power bullet," Yan Yu'an said. "This type of bullet is common in the Federation, making its source hard to determine... It'd be great if we had the casing, as it contains more info."
"It shouldn't be another reconnaissance team's shot, right?" Wang Xiyi said, "No sane person would do such a thing."
"I checked the reconnaissance mission schedule before we left; no reconnaissance team was dispatched towards Baikal Remains in the past two days," Yan Yu'an shook her head. "And the previously missing teams have already been presud dead... No one can survive two nights in Baikal Remains."
"Add a premise to the last statent, as of now," Sun Hang said. "Considering this, the shot was either fired by an assimilated reconnaissance team mber or a mimicry entity of this supernatural city—the original sheriffs and army of Lake Baikal City should also have used such bullets. If the entity simulates a Public Security Bureau or a military-like building, ard 'subtype entities' might appear inside."
"However..." Yan Yu'an hesitated.
Sun Hang: "However what?"
"We also can't rule out the possibility of there being survivors in Baikal Remains..."
"If there are survivors, would they see our drone, not send a rescue signal, but shoot down our drone instead? Are they stupid?" Wang Xiyi said.

"By the ti you reach there, they'd be long gone," Sun Hang said. "From the gunshot and bullet's flight speed difference, we can determine that the shooter is roughly a kiloter away from us, shooting at a downward angle of about three degrees, which ans they're sniping from about a fifty-ter-high building a kiloter away."
