——Soul Ergence.
Quickly.
Duncan’s consciousness entered a misty realm; ahead lay a vast lake. Awaiting him was not a small boat, but a magnificent ship. As soon as he stepped aboard, beautiful forest Nymphs offered him fine wine and delicacies.
Duncan, unashad, sat down and poured himself a cup of wine, then looked at the Guardian Fairy beside him and said, "Why have you called ?"
Ever since obtaining the authority of an Immortal, he could freely enter and exit the Otherworld.
It’s similar to Eastern cultivators being able to venture to the Underworld or Grotto Heaven Blessed Lands, although the Eastern concept of the Underworld likely hadn’t fully ford yet. This idea first appeared during the Eastern Han Dynasty and was gradually refined later.
The mist-covered Avalon, as a concept of the Otherworld, also took hundreds of years to consolidate, roughly the size of a small overseas island.
The ship soon reached the shore.
The Guardian Fairies were there to greet him at the dock — finally, a proper dock existed.
After Avalon’s faith underwent a complete transformation, the worldly depiction of this Otherworld Realm also began to change, gradually moving toward the direction of an idyllic island. In the tales of Druids and Minstrels, Avalon gained several iconic landmarks, like the massive Druid’s Circle, the annual Harvest Festival celebration, and the Mist Forest inhabited by various supernatural creatures.
The Guardian Fairies hadn’t been idle recently, either.
"Why are there only six of you?"
Duncan asked, puzzled, "Where is the other one?"
Tethys softly replied, "Scathach remains in the Shadow Realm and only occasionally visits Avalon."
It’s not that there weren’t Legendary Heroes from Ireland; the beautiful and boldly dressed Queen ave was present, curiously eyeing Duncan, with a hint of allure in her gaze.
Duncan courteously declined.
Better not consider Queen ave; even standing up seed like an effort.
Quickly.
A forest encircled by faint mist appeared before him, and Duncan roughly understood what was happening.
In the distance, a lodious tune echoed.
Accompanied by tiny, shimring light, a humanoid silhouette began to form within the mist. It bore the appearance of a half-human, half-sheep and, curious, poked its head out from the forest, its eyes filled with wondernt as it observed this new world.
——Faun (Essence) (Half-Sheepman) [Two-star Silver Grey].
It is a minor deity in Roman mythology, akin to the Nymphs in rank, governing pastoral life, and appears in the form of a half-sheepman, living in forests. In Roman mythology, the Faun is considered a follower of Faunus, the god of nature and harvest.
As long as it appears, it can be summoned to the real world through a ritual, albeit likely in Spirit Body form.
Duncan exclaid in surprise, "Faun? Weren’t they extinct?"
Tethys softly replied, "Just awakened."
"After the Druids incorporated pastoralism into Avalon beliefs, the first Faun was nurtured in the Mist Forest."
Can sothing extinct reerge?
Truly marvelous.
Avalon’s faith began to gradually expand into pastoralism, and with legends surfacing among the populace, the Faun from Roman mythology was frequently ntioned, leading to the Essence here nurturing the silhouette of a half-sheepman.
And finally, today, it was truly born, and the Guardian Fairies invited Duncan to witness this mont.
Regarding other purposes, they likely intend to prepare a grand feast to welco the King of Britain, given that Avalon’s faith was upheld by Duncan’s efforts alone.
This grand celebration feast is best left untold.
With the Faun’s revival, the changes Duncan brought to this world beca increasingly apparent.
anwhile, having spent most of his life wandering across Great Britain as a Prophet living hand to mouth, rlin could finally sit down peacefully and thoroughly study the existing Witchcraft system.
Duncan felt that Magic Enlightennt seed slightly more feasible than early industrialization.
After all, he had now unified Celtic beliefs, backed by nurous powerful Wizards, and coupled with connections to the Norse Pantheon, satisfying one or two prerequisites for Magic Enlightennt didn’t seem difficult.
The current Witchcraft system was too chaotic.
"Does everyone seem to support military expansion?"
Duncan took so ti to explore the new features on the projection page and discovered that ’military expansion’ was the easiest national ideology to light up at present.
Great Britain’s tradition had recently undergone great changes, with those Exile militias, British Militia, Saxon Reserves, Pict Warriors, and so on, all self-training when not busy with farm work, dreaming of ascending the social ladder through military deeds soday.
But these national ideologies needed Duncan to guide them; they couldn’t simply be added with a single thought.
If he could add points directly, Duncan wished he could light them all up.
Europe remained tumultuous recently.
Duncan had consecutively conquered Scotland and Ireland, and the military expenses were staggering, making further expeditions infeasible shortly.
Now, as the King of Britain isolated from overseas, he was slowly amassing strength, awaiting an opportunity to launch a grand sweep in the future.
As a result, Duncan found himself with more free ti.
His attention started to shift comprehensively toward his second Human Form, as Duncan outlined a general five-year long-term plan, preparing to unify Europe and rebuild the empire within that ti fra.
Unless sothing significant ca up, he would generally entrust managent to the Dinsion Space.
The biggest issue of this era remained the low productivity. If harvests were poor this year, people would starve next year, let alone waging wars.
