Losers exit the stage, winners evolve.
Many of the Divine Spirit faces on the Golden Coast are a fusion of Egyptian gods and native gods, especially those half-human, half-beast deities worshipped by the Beast Worship Sect.
The cake of reality is only so big, even the gods have to fight for positions.
In ancient tis, many native gods died, and it’s estimated that many aspects and incarnations of foreign gods perished as well.
Duncan followed the figure into the secret chamber, which is a rather risky move because the opponent is very powerful, and he has yet to reach the threshold of summoning the number one Heroic Spirit human form. If the opponent suddenly turned hostile, he might only be able to forcibly break through using the Great Frenzy.
But fortune favors the brave; killing mortals wouldn’t match directly slaying gods. When he killed Gwanu, he directly pushed the number one human form close to the rank of a demigod.
Upon entering the room, he imdiately saw Greek inscriptions and a decorative geotric pattern of Greek civilization - the ’Greek ander’.
"How do you prove yourself?"
The Oreitia Queen did not completely trust Duncan just because of a word. Behind her appeared a robed Priest figure, a four-star silver-gray marked unit, with arcs jumping in hand, seemingly possessing very strong casting ability.
Duncan did not rush to prove anything but sized up the opponent, slowly saying, "You’re playing with fire, Oreitia Queen."
"The Goddess of Wisdom - Athena guided here to save you."
No matter the circumstances, it’s better to feign.
When in doubt, act high and mighty.
The Oreitia Queen in front of him was evidently sowhat intimidated by Duncan because he seed too calm, and looking at her expression, even if she wasn’t Athena’s follower, there was probably so connection with the Greek Pantheon.
Duncan, calm and composed, looked around, almost turning his back to the Oreitia Queen in front, seemingly not worried about sudden attacks.
Anyway, he has a God’s-eye view, making it impossible for him to be ambushed.
Suddenly, he stopped walking, staring at the insignia before him, surprisingly saying, "Is this Diana’s insignia!?"
"You actually still worship Diana’s aspect?"
Crow Queen Triss is Diana’s High Priest, Duncan actually encountered Diana earlier than Athena, only the crucial mont still requires Athena to hold the banner.
Diana is the Romanization of Artemis.
The Roman Empire almost violently inherited the ancient Greek civilization.
Seeing Duncan recognize Diana’s insignia, behind him, the Oreitia Queen and that Priestess both looked surprised. The opponent put away the storm spear, solemnly saying, "You still haven’t answered my question. Man."
Duncan could already determine that the ancient Greek Pantheon had co to this world, but it seems they did not gain a foothold, not sure if they didn’t invest enough power or encountered formidable adversaries.
Divine Spirit faces entering other worlds are not necessarily at full strength, it’s highly likely just an incarnation is invested.
As likai, the Forest Goddess in Dungeons and Dragons, in the Forgotten Realms, she’s of dium divine power, only below Father of Oaks Sifanass, but in the Greyhawk world, she’s a demigod, roughly a weak god’s power.
The main body of a Divine Spirit would typically only bind to the Root World in which it was born, sotis due to overly powerful opponents, may also transfer to specific worlds, using them as their base.
Sifanass, in Ro is the God of Wilderness, but in other worlds, it may not be the sa, possibly a mighty god.
In gaming terms, all wearing aliases, building branch bases.
Best to grow stronger, failing rely ans losing a Divine Incarnation, not enough to shake the foundation.
With limited investnts, they exchange it for infinite possibilities in the future.
Duncan had already guessed so things, since Diana’s insignia is here, the Greek Pantheon’s arrival, the Root World’s Roman Empire was probably already established because Greek gods had transford into Roman gods’ aspects.
As for Egyptian gods, estimated they ca sowhat earlier, because they suffered heavy injuries in the Root World.
"It’s highly likely the rise of Monotheism forced the ancient Greek gods to build branch bases!"
"And the Tyr followers encountered not long ago."
"Probably also the Norse Pantheon feeling pressure, Tyr himself seeking a more suitable Material World."
Branch bases have successes, and there are failures.
There’s even multi-line operations.
Duncan turned his head, staring at the Oreitia Queen in front, slowly saying, "The Goddess of Wisdom Athena’s aspect has already entered this world."
"I am also still searching for her, but she is also likely searching for ."
"I am very curious right now."
"What exactly do you intend to do?"
This man talks like he’s full of tricks.
Oreitia Queen frowned, holding the weapon in her hand, watching this sowhat unpredictable guy, slowly saying, "Since you are the ssenger of the Goddess of Wisdom? How could you not guess what I want to do?"
Duncan looked at the surrounding runic rituals, slowly saying, "You want to beco a Godslayer."
"But what I’m curious about is not this, but your sche."
Upon hearing about Godslayer, the Oreitia Queen’s face slightly changed, her expression also beca solemn.
Duncan calmly said, "When I first ca here, I saw the statue you erected for yourself."
"This is a thod Roman emperors commonly use to gather divinity."
"At that ti."
