Smoke wafted lightly.
Duncan suddenly sensed a dinsional anomaly. When he opened his eyes, he was no longer in his own palace, nor was Lu Qiongxi's prepared feast around him. He stood calmly on the sea's surface, with the rising mist forming a mirage of a magnificent palace mirrored in the water.
"Your Majesty."
"Her Grace invites you."
At this mont, two small silhouettes appeared in the water. One had a small coral-like horn on her forehead, while the other had white shells on her back. These two won seed to be spirit monsters in human form, with enchanting figures and beautiful appearances, adorned in gauzy clothes woven like flowing water. Upon eting, they respectfully bowed and said, "Please, Your Majesty, follow us."
——Dragon Carp (Spirit Monster) (Five-Star Silver Gray).
——Clam Girl (Spirit Monster) (Four-Star Silver Gray).
In the dinsion space, a mark appeared in the upper right corner of everything before his eyes, reading Mirage.
Who has invited into a dream?
Ordinary immortals and spirits cannot possess such abilities. From the way these two girls called their mistress, Duncan roughly knew who it was.
The sea gradually ford steps, and Duncan nodded calmly, following the two won into the underwater palace. Unlike other underworld domiciles, everything before him was as real as it was illusory. Upon entering the underwater palace, it seed he had stepped into a dinsion space isolated from the world.
"Your Majesty!"
"Your Majesty!"
Along the way, many spirit monsters from rivers and lakes and so mortal-like souls, upon seeing Duncan, bowed one after another. The palace was built grandly, resembling an island at sea, with coral trees planted around.
When Duncan activated his omniscient view, he saw divine power subtly enveloping the sky, its source being the wish power. Because he subtly pushed everything forward, the wish power gathered here increased significantly, granting even the underwater palace's other spirits a slight benefit.
Sea Goddess.
Only today, upon arriving at this underwater palace, did Duncan realize this divine spirit was different from the Sea Goddess in his mories. He sensed a hint of dragon-serpent faith.
Moreover, many of the nearby mortal-like attendants dressed like the Tanka people, as if flexible rn underwater.
Fanatics.
Prayer.
These souls do not enter the six paths of reincarnation of Buddhism; after death, their souls return to the land of ancestors, which is the dragon-serpent faith. Under the promotion of Witchcraft, it has evolved into the faith of the Sea Goddess.
Simply put, these people's souls are governed by the Sea Goddess after death, not by the Underworld.
The attribution of soul faith.
Those who believe in Monotheism in the West and those who believe in the Norse Pantheon certainly do not end up in the sa place after death.
For the Tanka people, burial at sea allows the soul to naturally return to the ocean after death.
"Your Majesty."
"Please co with ."
As Duncan's figure reached the front of the palace, several dark-skinned won ca forward to greet him, sowhat resembling witches or Eastern witches. Inside the grand hall, fine wine and delicious cuisine were prepared. Above, there was a vague virtual shadow, not a physical entity, but a conceptual aggregate.
Only after Duncan stepped in did she coalesce into a human form of a young woman with a clear and elegant appearance. She gracefully saluted Duncan and said, "Inviting Your Majesty to visit on this deep night."
"Please forgive , Your Majesty."
Duncan waved his hand calmly, seated himself in one of the main seats, and softly asked, "What matter brings here?"
No visitor climbs the Three Treasures Hall without cause.
Though he had recently elevated the status of the Sea Goddess, it wasn't so abrupt to invite him to the underwater Dragon Palace without reason. Surely sothing must have happened.
A team of Dragon Palace maidens then stepped forward, gracefully dancing, while the charming Clam Girl poured wine for Duncan. The human form of the Sea Goddess seated on the other main seat glanced at him, softly saying, "Recently, the South Sea has been quite unsettled."
"Many fishing boats have been destroyed, and mortals have beco prey to the monsters."
There are monsters?
Upon hearing this, Duncan raised his brow, gesturing with his cup and said, "If it's just ordinary monsters, there would be no need for Her Grace to suddenly summon here, right?"
"What kind of great monster?"
Not long ago, Duncan had just reorganized the City God Land domain, completing the City God System within the Southern Han territory. Most of them were revered over citizens' benefactors enshrined as City God Land gods.
Such people were dependable and not under the jurisdiction of the Underworld.
Buddhism had objections and sent Yama himself to negotiate with him.
In this world, although communication hasn't been entirely severed, the barrier between yin and yang is still significant. Normally, no matter how chaotic the mortal world becos, these underworld systems don't easily intervene because they've had quite a lot on their plates with the many deaths over the years.
The human form of the Sea Goddess ruminated briefly, speaking reminiscently, "That great monster is an old acquaintance to Your Majesty."
Oh?
I've t it before?
Duncan's mind stirred, as though recalling sothing, he said solemnly, "Dangshan, Jiao Pond?"
The only creature connected to him and considered a great monster would be that ink dragon.
After the downfall of the Southern Han, Duncan elevated the status of the Sea Goddess, entrusting her with all the mountain spirits and water monsters within the territory's rivers and lakes. There were never many minor spirits or monsters in this world. After Sea Goddess gathered them, and Fu Jianhan cleared them once, even the water ghosts of the West River disappeared.
As for other vagrant ghosts, the newly appointed City God and Mountain Land gods were overwheld, sending them all packed to the Ghost Gate.
