He was a rider of elite origin, adept at infantry combat as well, but not suitable for leading infantry. He was just temporarily assisting with training. Sarmatians were best suited to cavalry formation.

There’s a weapon called the ’Sword of Oath and Victory,’ and Kulin is the Celtic warrior who made such an oath.
During the early imperial conquest of Gaul, it was these Gaulish Oath Warriors that caused considerable losses to the imperial heavy legions. They are considered top-tier infantry units possessing so special abilities.
Duncan turned to look at Kvito beside him and instructed, "I recall there are still over thirty from the exiles who are Gaul warriors?"
"Hand them over to Kulin to reorganize into an assault infantry unit."
The composition of the exiles was rather complex.
People of different nationalities mixed together, holding a unified identity as ’bankrupt,’ most of whom could be reorganized into the imperial private legion. However, a minority with Barbarian heritage could be integrated into special units.

Great Britain actually wasn’t lacking in food since the population was not large, peaking at two to three million, now estimated to be just over a million. Many Romans migrated away after the empire abandoned this province, and the Saxon invasions killed many more people.
The present Great Britain was sparsely populated, with ample land and surrounded by the sea, fishing was still feasible. There was no fear of starvation, just a shortage of other materials, especially ironware and armor, which had to wait for Anya’s rchant caravan.

Despite Duncan only bringing a little over two hundred n, he was already considered a small warlord here in Great Britain. In the early days, Great Britain had more than a dozen small kingdoms, essentially chieftains of native tribes, who could muster barely one to two thousand n by pulling out all their resources, most of whom were at militia training levels.
The Duke of Dingtiger was in dire need to restore his prestige after suffering a defeat, wanting to take advantage of Kent’s internal chaos to reclaim so lost lands. Cornwall was sowhat impoverished, much like the poor mountainous regions of Wales.
If Duncan hadn’t shot the King of Kent earlier, he probably would have been utterly defeated.

Native referred to the Celts not wholly Romanized, while those around London had already Romanized.
