The effect of his words were imdiate.
All three daughters—Seraphine, Lyanna, and Cassandra—who had been sitting in stunned silence, suddenly ca alive. Their heads whipped toward their father, their eyes wide with shock that quickly transford into excitent.
"What?!" Seraphine shouted, her composure completely shattered for perhaps the first ti since Julian had t her. She stood from her throne so quickly that she nearly stumbled. "You’re taking us with you?"
Lyanna leapt to her feet as well. "To the original world? The one where you..." She trailed off, not wanting to say ’died’. "Father, truly? We can go with you?"
Cassandra bead. "But we’ve never left the Throne of Gods! We’ve never seen another world!" Her voice was breathless.
Seraphine’s mind was already racing ahead. "This is an actual mission. A real investigation into realms and powers beyond what we know." Her hands clenched with excitent. "Father, I—we won’t let you down. We’ll be useful, I promise."
Lyanna was practically bouncing on her feet. "We can protect you if sothing happens! All three of us together, we’re strong enough to—"
"To die instantly if we encounter that being Father described," Seraphine interrupted then smiled. "But we’re still going, right? This is happening?"
Regina’s voice cut through the daughters’ excitent like a knife.
"Julian, no." Her tone was absolute, commanding. "I understand you going—I hate it, but I understand it. But taking our daughters into that kind of danger? Into a world where a Supre Being’s underling casually erased you from existence?" She stood from her throne. "They’re powerful, yes. They’re talented and trained. But they’re nowhere near strong enough to face what might be waiting there."
Lisa nodded, her maternal instincts overriding everything else. "Regina is right. Julian, please. They’re still so young—"
"Young?" Lyanna interrupted. "Mother, I’m centuries old!"
"Which is nothing!" Lisa shot back. "Supre beings are over thousand years! You’re children compared to the forces he’s describing!"
Isabel added her voice, quieter but no less concerned. "What if sothing happens? What if you can’t protect them and yourself at the sa ti?"
The three daughters looked between their mothers and their father, unsure where this was heading.
Just then, Julian raised one hand and silence fell imdiately. He looked at Regina, then at Lisa and Isabel.
"I know you’re concerned," he said calmly. "And your concerns are valid. That world is dangerous. The forces at play there are beyond anything our daughters have encountered."
Regina’s expression showed relief—he was agreeing with her.
Then Julian continued, and her expression fell.
"But that’s exactly why they need to co with ."
"Julian—" Regina started, but he spoke over her, his voice commanding attention.
"They’re powerful, Mother. Seraphine is Peak Demi-God. Lyanna and Cassandra are both Mid Demi-God. In our original world, that makes them among the strongest beings in existence. The only reason they seem weak is because they’re being compared to and to the Supre Being’s underling—entities that exist on a completely different level."
He leaned forward on his throne, his gaze sweeping across all his wives.
"More importantly, they need to see what exists beyond this protected realm. They’ve spent their entire lives here, in a world I created, under my protection, where they are among the most powerful beings. They need to understand that there are forces out there that dwarf everything they know. They need to experience real danger, real stakes, real consequences."
Eleanor, who had been listening carefully, spoke up thoughtfully. "You’re not just taking them to investigate. You’re taking them to teach them."
"Exactly," Julian confird. "They’ve learned everything they can here. Seraphine has built a civilization from nothing—impressive beyond asure. But she did it in a controlled environnt where she was always the apex power. Lyanna and Cassandra have trained and cultivated and grown strong. But they’ve never truly been tested."
He looked directly at his three daughters, his expression serious.
"If you co with , you will see things that terrify you. You will face dangers that make you question everything you thought you knew about power and survival. You may witness death, destruction, and cruelty on scales you cannot currently imagine. And yes," he added, looking back at Regina, "there will be danger. Real danger."
Seraphine stepped forward, her voice steady despite the tears still on her cheeks. "I understand, Father. And I still want to go."
Lyanna nodded firmly. "So do I. We can’t grow stronger hiding in safety forever."
Cassandra’s voice was quieter but no less determined. "I’m scared. But I trust you, Father. And I want to see what lies beyond our world."
Julian smiled at them, pride clear in his expression. Then he turned back to Regina.
"I will protect them," he said simply. "I am a God, Mother. In that world, with my current power, very few beings can truly threaten —and none of them should have any reason to be there. The Supre Being’s underling accomplished his goal centuries ago. He has no reason to linger. And even if he did..." Julian’s eyes flashed. "I’m not the sa Grand Mage he killed so easily. I’m sothing very different now."
Regina stared at him for a long mont, conflict clear on her face. Finally, she sighed, her shoulders slumping slightly in defeat.
"Promise ," she said quietly. "Promise you’ll bring them back safely."
"I promise," Julian replied without hesitation. "On my very existence, I will protect them."
The other wives exchanged glances, their concern not fully removed but recognizing that Julian had made his decision—and that perhaps he was right about what their daughters needed.
Gregoria spoke up. "When will you leave?"
Julian considered for a mont. "Soon. Within the week. I need to make so preparations first, and our daughters need to be briefed on what to expect."
He looked at the three young won standing before him, excitent and fear mixing on their faces.
"This will not be a vacation or an adventure," he told them seriously. "This is a dangerous mission into potentially hostile territory. You will follow my orders without question. You will stay close to at all tis. And if I tell you to run, you run—no hesitation, no argunts. Understood?"
"Yes, Father," all three replied in unison.
Julian nodded, satisfied. "Good. Then we have much to prepare."
