On the other side, when Daryl learned that his brother rle was still alive, he was overjoyed.

Rick and T-Dog, on the other hand, looked complicated.

While everyone at the camp was anxiously waiting.

The sound of a car engine reached everyone’s ears, and although they already knew rle was coming back, the vigilant Shane still picked up a gun and pointed it at the intersection, ready to blow the intruders’ heads off if they ca with ill intentions.

A blue and white police car approached.

"Oh, it’s rle!" Shane put down his shotgun when he recognized the people in the car, and Daryl imdiately went up to et him.

"rle, you really are a tough one. You didn’t die."

At this ti, rle also got out of the police car and jokingly said to Daryl, "Your rle is tough, how could I die."

Just as Rick was about to ask how rle had escaped, rle opened the back door of the car and said with a bit of flattery, "Miss Selene, aren’t you coming out to introduce yourself?"

It’s no wonder rle was so ingratiating, Selene’s extraordinary strength made him not dare to have any ill intentions, and on the way here, Selene also warned him not to spread the word.

"Hey, rle, where did you save this female soldier?" Daryl asked rle when he saw Selene in the back seat of the car.

"Save her? Bullshit! If it weren’t for her saving , I would’ve been killed by this officer and that black guy," rle laughed grimly and glared at Rick and T-Dog.

"If it wasn’t for you, you almost got us all killed," T-Dog, knowing he was at fault, just glanced at rle.

Rick stepped forward at the right ti and said, "You posed a threat to us at the ti. I’m sorry for locking you up, but I had no choice given the situation."

As the crowd argued, Selene got out of the police car.

"Hey, miss, do you have any news about a shelter?" Shane ignored the argunt between Rick and the others and walked up to Selene.

It’s not surprising Shane thought that way; Selene was dressed very cleanly, in a neat black urban combat uniform, and looked like soone with an official background. According to their understanding, soone like her should be under official protection, if not, she should at least have news of official shelters.

The others also looked at Selene with hope, hoping to get news of a shelter.

But Selene had no idea. Until the tenth season, she hadn’t heard any news of official shelters, let alone seen one.

This was sothing Selene had always questioned since watching the show, which was whether there were any official survivors left, whether the army had any shelters, and how co there was no news of the nuclear war bunkers they had built in reality.

"No." Selene’s straightforward answer shattered everyone’s expectations.

...

Night.

Around a campfire, as everyone’s mood settled, Shane said, "No need to be discouraged. Even if there’s no shelter, life must go on."

"Tonight, let’s have a good rest. We have rabbit caught by Daryl and plenty of beer. Let’s have a good al!" Dale said.

This finally lifted the spirits of the people present, and even rle howled along.

After dinner, Andrea volunteered to invite Selene, who had no place to stay, to stay with her.

Unsurprisingly, Selene declined, as she wasn’t used to close contact with strangers.

At this mont, rle and his brother Daryl were in a state of "brotherly harmony."

At night, Selene sat alone in the car, lost in thought. She was currently a bit confused; she initially planned to directly invade the world after her abilities were restored, evolve into a Herrscher, and then leave. But for so reason, she impulsively saved rle and then ended up here.

"Let’s help them through the crisis." Maybe it was the influence of her past life, making her unable to be so cold-hearted. Moreover, this act of kindness that doesn’t affect her interests is harmless to do.

Perhaps she might not have such a warm heart in the future.

Early the next morning, Selene woke up.

Good old Dale was busy making breakfast, "Good morning, miss. How did you sleep last night?"

"Not bad," Selene replied.

"Not getting enough sleep will make you feel tired. What would you like for breakfast?" Dale gently sidestepped the topic.

"Oh? What do you guys usually have?"

"Whole grain bread and so ga." Dale shook the cheese jar in his hand.

"Do I have any other options?"

"No, you can choose either a single bread with cheese or two bread with a little at."

"Then forget it." With that, Selene took out a large bag of canned food from her multifunctional backpack and tossed it to Dale.

"Hmm? What’s this? Canned food!" Dale exclaid in surprise. Recently, they had been eating nothing but bread and ga, and were almost sick of it. It had been a long ti since they had such flavorful food.

"I’ll heat it up right away and give everyone a surprise." Dale rushed off to heat up the canned food.

In the dense forest, the air was fresh, relaxing the mind. Looking at the scenery in the mountains, no one would guess it’s the end tis now.

"Good morning, Miss Selene." "Good morning, Mrs. Carol."

"Morning, Miss Selene. How was your night?" "Not bad, Mr. Rick."

"Morning, Selene." "Good morning, Miss Amy."

...

After greeting everyone, rle ca over and asked quietly, "What are we doing today?"

People like rle generally fear power but not virtue, and the best way to handle them is with a show of force. If you don’t subdue him, he’s like a mad dog, biting everywhere. But once you earn his respect, he can be quite a capable subordinate.

"I’m not planning to leave for now. First, I’ll set up so security traps around the camp. Your defenses are poorly set up," Selene replied.

"Got it, I’ll make arrangents."

As she continued walking out of the camp, the stench of rot hit her. Following the sll, she saw the carcass of a deer with bite marks on its neck.

Not far away, a zombie lay smashed to pieces. Thinking of the storyline, Selene realized this zombie was likely the precursor to the horde that would arrive that night, leading to many deaths at the camp. Selene planned to save them as a way to leave no regrets.

Just then, the grass rustled, and a human figure erged from behind, holding a hunting crossbow with a quiver on his back, wearing a light green vest, exuding a wild strength.

Daryl ignored Selene and walked straight to the zombie’s head, stomping on it, "Everyone could have had deer at, but this damn thing ruined it." He kicked the head again, "Damn it, bastard, I was tracking that prey for days."

rle erged from the bushes, patting Daryl on the shoulder, "Alright, stop showing off, Miss Selene is way more skilled than your amateur skills."

After speaking, without waiting for Daryl’s reaction, rle turned to Selene and whispered, "This is my brother, you can trust him."

Hearing rle’s implication, Selene glanced at the puzzled Daryl behind her, "Got it, I’ll keep an eye on him."

Daryl, completely confused, didn’t know what rle and Selene were plotting. "What trust or distrust, rle, you must be hiding sothing from again."

rle, receiving Selene’s response, bead a radiant smile and wrapped an arm around his brother, "Kid, I’ve got you a chance to stay alive."

Moving to the main topic, rle wanted to discuss future plans with Selene, suggesting he noticed she didn’t fit in with the team and assud she wouldn’t stay long. He subtly expressed his willingness to leave with Selene.

However, Selene indicated she would leave in a few days and wouldn’t depart within the next two days. Pointing to the scattered corpse, she assessed that the city’s zombie horde was beginning to spread and a horde was imminent.

In fact, it was going to be that night, but Selene couldn’t specify the ti too precisely. After all, while being kind, one must remain cautious.

rle, silent for a mont, realized the issue was indeed as Selene said, the horde was spreading!

"Then why don’t we just leave and inform everyone," Daryl suggested.

"First, we don’t have concrete evidence. Second, I’m new here, they don’t trust . Third, the camp’s location is quite good, being high in terrain and next to a lake. Do you think they’d abandon it based on a few words from us? Lastly, your brother rle isn’t well-liked; they might even think we attracted the horde."

Currently, the survivor group was led by Rick and Shane, while rle was shunned by most.

"As for why not leave alone, let’s just say it’s my good heart at work. We need to set up enough warning traps around the camp to ensure early warnings and be prepared. You’ll be in charge of the specific work."
