Chapter 3169: Chapter 1617: Without intention, casually planted willows thrive; with determination, the flowers one plants also bloom.

What is Kong Yuhen doing?

Holy Emperor Wangze didn’t even spare a glance for that oh-so-soft and squeeze-friendly mber of the Four Divine Pillars.

His attention was entirely on Kong Yuhen.

Frozen in place just from being worshipped?

Got knocked out by so invisible cudgel?

Is this the “I will take action if injustice arises” you were talking about?

...

Standing there…

“Daydreaming?”

And wouldn’t you know it, Kong Yuhen was indeed stupefied.

The Ti Ancestor Shadow Staff couldn’t possibly freeze him for that long.

Long before the appearance of the Great Well-behaved Bell, Kong Yuhen had already broken free from Ti Freeze.

But when Xu Xiaoshou hit him with his staff, it wasn’t just a hit – he also stuffed a jade scroll into his space.

A familiar modus operandi.

Back in Jade Capital City, in his confrontation with the Elental Divine Envoy Zhong Yuanzi, Xu Xiaoshou employed the sa tactic.

Three jade scrolls!

Kong Yuhen hesitated for a mont before opening the first one:

“Brother Yu Hen, why not join my First Pavilion in the Sky?”

“I can reserve the position of Chief Elder for you, demoting the current Chief Elder to Second Elder, as a sign of respect for you.”

What is this?

Kong Yuhen paid no attention to the frivolous invitation and opened the second jade scroll:

“Brother Yu Hen, your Bazhun’an has entrusted to tell you sothing.”

“He has an answer to your question, but please help through this difficult situation first.”

“It’s not so much ‘helping’ as it is – just stay still and act like a wooden statue for once.”

Bazhun’an?

Kong Yuhen’s mory stirred, and he indeed recalled the last tea party on Abyss Island.

Bazhun’an, one of the few who could seek him out and enter the All Ti Forgotten Sorrow Pavilion of their accord.

He was impressive.

His deanor, his grace, his insight, his experience… and so on.

Xu Xiaoshou, too, was considered a friend.

So, should he give his buddy a face and be that wooden statue?

As Kong Yuhen reminisced about the old days and pondered over the injustice, undecided in his heart, he had no choice but to open the third jade scroll.

The scent that hit him was different, clearly from another person:

“Brother Yu Hen, seeing this letter is as good as eting you.”

“Perhaps you’ve gone through another cycle of reincarnation, perhaps you’ve once again fallen into self-doubt, but I will always rember this day, rember the first ti I entered your All Ti Forgotten Sorrow Pavilion, the nights where we talked knee to knee, and fell asleep with feet touching.”

“My na is Dao Qiongcang, perhaps you’ve already forgotten my na; or maybe I’m the one who has forgotten you – to this day, I have no answer.”

“No matter, this letter was made when you and I worked together to block ti and brand mories, all for the sake of this mont’s reunion.”

“I’ve given myself a strict order, once I re-enter your pavilion and et you again, even if it violates my original intention, this letter will be delivered.”

“It records every detail between us, countless mories that may help you trace back your mories, or perhaps they’re useless.”

“But I think, the existence of the letter itself has its significance, doesn’t it?”

“Now, allow to slowly recount for you…”

(Here are omitted thirty thousand words)

Hard control!

More powerful than Ti Freeze itself!

All it took was three jade scrolls… ridiculous, isn’t it?

Perception swept over the daydreaming Kong Yuhen, and Xu Xiaoshou was filled with emotions.

Before entering the All Ti Forgotten Sorrow Pavilion, Hallmaster Dao had co up with this proposal: take hard control of Kong Yuhen and attack the Cursed Yin Evil God.

His words sounded so crazy that it seed as if Hallmaster Dao had been possessed by Cao Erzhu, rather than the other way around.

At the ti, Xu Xiaoshou didn’t want to do that either.

After all, ssing around on soone else’s turf was a foolish thing that even Bazhun’an had never done.

And he felt Kong Yuhen was too “mysterious,” perhaps filled with “unknown” uncontrollable factors, so he wasn’t keen on Hallmaster Dao’s proposal.

He preferred to take it slow, to play by ear once inside the pavilion.

Hallmaster Dao was a contradictory character.

On normal days, he was extrely cautious and suspicious, hardly ever attempting anything with even a slight hint of uncertainty.

Yet in critical monts, when facing the challenge of entering the pavilion, he was decisive… no, rash!

Xu Xiaoshou thought, perhaps this is the fundantal difference between middle-aged people and the young:

It was clear that Elder Dao held his views on Kong Yuhen.

He too respected the “mystery,” the “unknown,” but at this mont, he thought to employ them.

Sudden boiling of an old man’s blood?

Seemingly inexplicable surge of confidence?

Don’t understand.

Anyway, when Hallmaster Dao handed over his jade scroll, Xu Xiaoshou didn’t believe in its strangeness.

But having cooperated all the way to the Divine Relics, he really couldn’t doubt Elder Dao’s judgent.

He silently added two more jade scrolls, slapped them onto Kong Yuhen, leaving two backups.

“Perhaps it’s the flourishing First Pavilion in the Sky that has attracted Brother Anxiety.”

“Or perhaps it’s the gravitas of Bazhun’an that has kept a vigilant watch over Brother Anxiety.”

Xu Xiaoshou inclined to believe the latter in his own speculation.

After all, from the developnt of the last visit to All Ti Forgotten Sorrow Pavilion, Bazhun’an and Kong Yuhen seed to have enjoyed each other’s company imnsely, the latter showing great respect to the forr.

In critical monts, just like Eighth claid in White Cave, even without invoking The Four Pillars of Destiny Token, the re na had its weight.

It can only be said…

The face fruit, invariably effective!

Xu Xiaoshou didn’t believe the jade scroll of Hallmaster Dao would have much effect.

Against a special existence like Kong Yuhen, what mattered were bonds, mories, and emotions – simply put, it depended on the “human” aspect.

This generation’s Kong Yuhen seed not to recognize Hallmaster Dao?

It couldn’t possibly be that Elder Dao wrote a sentintal essay of 800 words for Brother Anxiety to read word by word, in order to achieve hard control, right?
