"Today’s lecture by Instructor Ping seems to be on the Dao Ancestor from the Ten Ancestors of old... whether arts originate from curses or from the Dao, she is the most qualified to speak on it!"
In the Southern Region of the Cloud Dragon Island, holy power transford into colorful mists, and two young n were swiftly traversing through the clouds.
The one in front looked spirited and their pace was hurried.
The one being dragged behind, however, had sleepy eyes, carrying two big dark circles under them, looking as if he had just been yanked out of bed.
Even with the rush, they still ended up late to what was said to be the most precious morning class after entering the school.
When the duo finally arrived at Xingxing Peak, crossed through the Divine Array, and sneaked into the Inner Yard lecture hall of the Yin Yang Dao Palace, Instructor Ping had already been speaking for a while:
"...so Shi Ming Nuo, are all external ancestors, none of whom were Ancestral Gods nurtured by our Heavenly Realm’s Cloud Land."
"Ti Ancestor Kong Yuhen simply took on the na of Dao Ancestor Yi Ji by force, occupying the ’position’ that beca vacant during the ti when the Dao Ancestor withdrew from the world to preach."
"That is the truth."
Instructor Ping lectured on the stage while over ten thousand people listened below in the Cloud Sea seating area.
Among these were old scholars researching the ancient history of the Ancestral Gods, elder students who practiced curse arts but not Taoist techniques, and those who believed that the Ti Ancestor was indeed one of the Ten Ancestors.
Evidently, not everyone agreed with these statents.
Just as Instructor Ping finished speaking, a voice imdiately rose in rebuttal below:
"Instructor Ping, I have a question."
"Ti predates Dao, and if the Dao Ancestor studied mory, could it be that the Dao Ancestor altered historical mories, expelling the Ti Ancestor from the ranks of the Ten Ancestors without your awareness?"
This comnt sparked a wave of commotion around them.
The idea wasn’t particularly bold, reflecting suspicions that everyone shared.
Throughout the ages, no definitive conclusion has been reached, but if anyone could reveal the truth, it would be Instructor Ping, the sole expert in the Historical Dao in the Heavenly Realm, and a master clarity bearer of the river of history.
"Interesting..."
The sleepy one in the back was roused by the noise and perked up a bit.
Cultivation was typically dull to him; what he loved to hear were these gossips about the Ancestral Gods. If the Historical Dao were sothing everyone could practice, he might find it the most appealing.
Researching the gossips of the Ancestral Gods to gain power—how fascinating is that!
"If it’s interesting, then good. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have dragged you here," chuckled the young man nad Tong Sheng, nudging the person next to him and asking in a small voice:
"Senior Brother, what did Instructor Ping just talk about? I missed the beginning because sothing ca up..." With that, he slipped a spirit gem over.
The senior brother with the square face had initially been upset, as his focus on Instructor Ping’s beauty had been interrupted. However, seeing the spirit gem made him laugh, an expression of understanding washing over him:
"Nothing special."
"Just a different historical perspective, saying that this ’Southern Region of the Curse Continent’ under our feet was once called the ’Southern Region of the Land of Sin.’
"And that this ’Heavenly Realm’ is not the ancient Heavenly Realm, but a ’new Heavenly Realm’ remade 129,600 epochs ago, supposedly integrating the power of the ’Ti Realm’, hence keeping the Ti Ancestor’s na among the five great heavenly continents."
"If you were from that era, what we are experiencing now would be called the ’future.’"
Hiss!
Tong Sheng drew in a cold breath.
Could Instructor Ping truly trace such distant events to their truth? That’s the power of the Historical Dao, how delightful!
"Did the Dao Ancestor lecture?" Tong Sheng asked, concerning his next steps in Taoist technique cultivation; missing out would be a pity.
"Sounded like it’s just about to begin..."
The square-faced senior brother had just opened his mouth when Instructor Ping on the Cloud Sea platform effortlessly addressed the doubts, returning to the earlier topic:
"Speaking of the Dao Ancestor, many people’s impression of him might only be his given na ’Yi Ji,’ correct?"
"That’s correct, the real na of the Dao Ancestor is Yi Ji, who practiced the mory Path, but many may not know that this was his na before he returned to zero."
"In strict terms, after the Dao Ancestor returned to zero, he is both the Dao Ancestor and not the Dao Ancestor, and should be called ’Dao Qiongcang.’
What does that an?
Tong Sheng was baffled, his mouth agape.
Even the dark-eyed Li Yun was a bit more intrigued.
Only the square-faced senior brother remained as before, completely wrapped up in Instructor Ping’s enchanting presence.
"Holy Demon dicine Ghost Art, Sword Dragon Battle Heaven, does anyone recall, this initial incantation of the Ten Ancestors?"
"The titles of the Ten Ancestors were all determined before they returned to zero, regardless of the Holy Demon, dicine Ghost, Magic Curse, or mory Path."
"To study Taoist techniques, one must investigate the Dao Ancestor; to investigate the Dao Ancestor, one must delve into mory and truth; to delve into mory and truth, one must review the exquisite arrangents of the Dao Ancestor’s life... everyone, listen as I tell."
Instructor Ping’s voice was like a mystical sparrow in an empty valley, crisp and enchanting, capturing everyone’s attention.
As she spoke, she lightly brushed her hand across the Cloud Sea, upon which marvelous changes occurred, transforming into a small cloud disk, displaying the history of the Shengshen Continent, the predecessor to the new Heavenly Realm.
"Dao Ancestor Yi Ji, born after the Holy Ancestor Saint Xin, beca the second Ancestral God of the Shengshen Continent, ascended to the Heavenly Realm, and later befriended Nuo, Ming, and Shi."
"At this ti, all the Ancestors had not returned to zero, thus each perford their thods to comprehend the complete Great Path... the path of Saint Xin’s two-as-one-and-return-to-zero once guided the historical developnt of the Shengshen Continent, sparking Yi Ji’s contemplation."
"I must interject that, in terms of talent alone, Yi Ji could not match Saint Xin, having great fortune only in the mory Path, and his greatest ability was instead ’emulation.’"
The Cloud Sea grew silent, ten thousand people made no sound.
Obviously, everyone was deeply imrsed in the history of the Shengshen Continent, even the square-faced senior brother was engrossed by Instructor Ping’s narration.
