"Rumble, rumble, rumble!"
A thunderous roar exploded beside my ears.
The scene before seed to fade into a blur.
The attack from the ancient japonicum missed entirely.
But the red Xiao Thunder of Kui Leihan left more and more wounds on the tree’s body.
Stalemate...
Still in stalemate...
The thunder calamity roared down, descending four strikes at once.
The ancient japonicum withstood three strikes, Kui Leihan one, proving that four wills were transcending the tribulation simultaneously here.
All four wills were unaffected by the initial impact of the Ancestral God Destruction calamity, evidence of their imnse strength.
Yet...
In the Western Desert, even with the divine intervention of Taoic elevation, with ancient japonicum rooted and consolidated, the earth and space continued to fragnt bit by bit, as if on the verge of collapse.
After all, there was no retracing function of the Ancient War God Platform here.
"The Western Region is going to sink."
Thoughts flickered once more in Kui Leihan’s mind.
In truth, he had no grand aspirations of saving the world, nor could he not accept the Shengshen Continent turning from five domains to four, to three, or even collapsing completely, sending people to the Apricot Realm.
Countless deaths and injuries did not hinder the battle of stealing paths.
But witnessing this scene, that prior impulse arose once more.
"Not exhilarating enough!"
"Not overwhelmingly intense enough!"
"The new Heavenly Realm has not yet been planted; this world desperately needs a true battlefield!"
Kui Leihan again conceived the idea of opening a façade, Taoization of the self, temporarily raising the battlefield Daoic level of the Shengshen Continent to the strength of a Zero Ancestral God.
He knew well that this was far from his original intention.
To put it plainly, this was the Demon Ancestor’s idea.
But this had ceased to be "Guidance," having transford into an "obsession," directly affecting his will within the Way of Spiritual Cultivation.
When the mont ca that he could not guard his mind, and this sense of confusion magnified, perhaps that would be the mont he said farewell to this world.
"Do sothing!"
Kui Leihan had no intention of reaching the Dao Extre Realm.
His Intent encompassed both states of perception and combat at the sa ti.
Yet, for the great Dao of magic dicines and others, it was only a fledgling form, ultimately unable to withstand the influence of the inner demon obsession enforced by the Demon Ancestor.
So, what could he do?
"Do sothing!"
Breaking through the confusion, Kui Leihan attacked fiercely, his thoughts ablaze.
More wounds appeared on the ancient japonicum, the entire tree covered with sores, dyed by the red Xiao Thunder, like it had sprouted nurous dense red abscesses.
Yet Kui Leihan still did not know what else he could do.
He thought of suddenly exploding with an attack aid at blowing up the Western Region, going big, and utterly destroying the body of the dicine Ancestor.
The thought arose.
The thought vanished.
He thought of preserving himself, retreating once more to hide, allowing Bei Huai to successfully seal an ancestor, to struggle with the dicine Ancestor for the Path of Life and Reincarnation.
Then, he would erge again, reaping the benefits.
The thought arose.
The thought vanished as well.
All Kui Leihan had left was attack, attack, and more attack.
It seed that aside from attacking like this, continually wearing down the living power of the dicine Ancestor, achieving the best outco of mutual destruction, and sacrificing himself.
No other path was more perfect, more suited to him than the one he currently contemplated.
"I, having sealed Godhood and beco an Ancestor, was for this very mont!"
Boom!
The Nine Heavens Ancestral God Destruction calamity descended once more.
Disasters rampaged through the entire Western Desert, yet even so, in his frenzy and eye-maddened state, Kui Leihan did not cease action until...
Harsh!
The void shattered.
A pillar descended harshly, smashing down, directly breaking through Daoism, severing the River of Reincarnation in half, piercing into its void.
"Hiss—"
A shrill screech emitted from within the ancient japonicum.
Startled awake, Kui Leihan stopped his actions, looked around, and saw...
A bald man streaked across the distant sky, his form no different from his own, his face steadfast, only slightly turning his head to glance when he noticed Kui Leihan looking at him.
Just one glance!
The Overlord transford into a Heavenly Pillar, breaking through the clouds above, piercing into the Netherworld below, breaking the River of Reincarnation, connecting the myriad worlds.
The Divine, without hesitation, cast himself into the River of Reincarnation alongside the Overlord.
In his world, it seed there was only advancent or death, never the third option of being trapped by others, trapped by the self.
Just one glance!
Kui Leihan saw the resoluteness of the Divine.
And from his eyes, he saw his own self, enveloped in demon energy, nearly lost.
"Lean on..."
He abruptly halted all actions.
Floating in his mind was the thought of relying on the Overlord, casting himself into reincarnation with the Divine.
Relying on the dicine Ancestor, forcibly transcending the tribulation, leading to life through the death of Bei Huai.
And relying on the Qingju, balancing the Yin and Yang, changing swordsmanship, and bestowing respect to Bazhun’an.
In that frozen mont, Kui Leihan seed to sever the last thread of confusion in his heart, his eyes regaining clarity.
"I understand now."
He rose resolutely, no longer hesitating.
With a wave of his hands, fiery red Penetrating Divine Senses shot out from the nurous wounds on the ancient japonicum.
These billions of threads originating from the dicine Ancestor’s body converged on Kui Leihan.
He turned, raised his hands again, and purple threads shot out from his body, this ti rooting into the Way of the Heavens, shooting towards the various places of the five domains of the Shengshen Continent.
A net!
A great net woven out of thin air.
After connecting himself as the intersection between the dicine Ancestor and the Shengshen Continent’s Daoism, Kui Leihan’s face, masked by the calamity, receded into pure gray.
"What is he trying to do?"
Witnessing this scene, though feeling sothing was amiss, Zi Chong of the four-hill mountain, at the sight of the net’s formation, was still sowhat relieved.
Though it happened quickly.
Without having consud half the dicine Ancestor’s power first.
But being able to suppress The Divine without bloodshed, then suppress Cao Yihan, was already a perfect ending in itself—after all, it was normal for an Ancestral God to gain clarity for a fleeting mont.
