A dark place and dark mountains scattered around.
No doubt anymore.
"A Human."
I recognized that voice imdiately.
I turned around and my eyes narrowed.
Before , sitting on a throne made of rocks was a tall man. He had short black hair, a well-trimd beard with red eyes in which golden slits were present.
Is that his true form?
The two tis I saw him, he was more like a monster than sothing human-like as now.
And this ti I could feel…his aura of a God.
I didn't have doubts that I was in front of God and…not a good-natured one.
I don't know how the hell I ended up here but…
I glanced on Baphot's left and saw a red crystal floating. It had a similar aura as Eric so it must be Rubina's soul or sothing like that. He was corrupting her like he did with Annabelle.
"You see…I had a weird dream recently." Baphot said while tapping his finger on the armrest of his throne. "I killed a girl several years ago. It was nothing difficult. I first killed her mother and her weak-mind gave up to ."
"..."
"I'm certain that I had killed her but in that dream soone appeared in my isolated dinsion and managed to save her. A re dream." Baphot said before staring at . "But I don't believe in that. I am a very cautious man and I…will not approve of the existence of a re human with the ability to enter and leave my dinsion as he wishes."
As he said that, Baphot scanned from head to toe, as if trying to peer through my soul.
"That girl is just an unfortunate one who fell on my sight just when I thought of finding out this mysterious ant who dared to taint my dream," Baphot said as he swirled the crystal in his hand. "And here you are again in my dinsion. Seeking death."
As soon as he finished, it beca difficult for to breathe. With sheer will, I kept myself from falling on my knees.
The first ti I entered his dinsion was thanks to Cleenah's Legacy but this ti, if I had to guess, it's because of Annabelle being contracted to . Since she inherited Baphot's power, I also obtained so of his power, thus the reason why I was able to enter his dinsion.
I should better leave before sothing happens.
I thought I could have done sothing to treat Rubina but guess I was wrong. This guy was way too strong for . He was currently not comparable to the one I saw before.
Just when I was thinking that, a green light shone in the dark place and a familiar figure appeared in front of .
"Cleenah?"
With her long shining green hair, green eyes and flawless face, Cleenah appeared with a stern expression as she looked at Baphot.
"Oh~" Baphot stood up when he saw Cleenah. "The Colorless Goddess in person in my territory."
Colorless?
Baphot's smile widened at Cleenah silence. "You are as beautiful as ever, Cleenah-"
"Enough flatterie Baphot." Cleenah didn't seem in a good mood.
Moreover, she seems to know Baphot…
"Hm? You disappeared thousands of years ago and here you are in a perfect form and…accompanied by a human," Baphot muttered before widening his eyes. "You chose to beco a Legacy? His Legacy?"
Do you have a problem with that?
"This is sothing not even Athena would have guessed…you seem to have changed a lot as well…" Baphot's eyes were only on Cleenah as he spoke about things that I couldn't understand.
Still, without showing much emotions, Cleenah spoke. "I am here only to warn you, Baphot."
"Warn ?"
"Yes." Cleenah nodded. "Amael is with . Forget whatever dreams or plans you had already thought of during this whole ti." Her tone was threatening.
"Ahahaha!" Baphot burst out laughing at Cleenah's words. "You got there, Cleenah but your protegee stepped willingly in my territory and probably because of you, he can from now on enter and leave as he wishes as long as he approaches soone I already put my hands on. It's problematic you see."
What is problematic?!
trying to save a little girl or the pedo?!
"You are not in the situation to ask for anything, Baphot. You are an enemy of Eden. You killed countless Gods and they are all looking for you. I just have to reveal what you are doing and where before they co for you."
Well, it wasn't really a surprise for since he is an Evil God but again, he really killed a lot of Gods and managed to run away? It must explain why he chose to beco a Legacy. It's easy to escape gazes from Gods like that.
"Co for ?" Baphot laughed out loud. "You should be the one worried about that, Cleenah. From what I rember, you have been banished to the mortal realm thousand of years ago."
Huh?
I looked at Cleenah.
Banished?
"The only reason you are still living right now is thanks to Zeus' obsession with you; otherwise, all those lunatics of Eden would have already killed you long ago."
Zeus…
He ans…Jayden's Legacy?
"I am perfectly aware of that but I am safe with Amael." Cleenah said and put her hand on my shoulders.
"Wait." But Baphot stopped her and threw the red crystal to .
"Huh?"
"It's my gift," Baphot said. "I am already satisfied to have seen Cleenah."
What the hell is he blabbering about?
"But." Baphot's smile vanished as he sat back on his throne. "In a year or two, I will recover my body and not even you Cleenah will stop from killing that brat."
"In a year or two?" I snorted at Baphot. "At that ti, I will be strong enough to kill you."
"I am disappointed in you Cleenah," Baphot ignored and spoke to Cleenah. "Soone of your caliber is choosing such a weak man? He will not go far with this ntality."
"What…?" I was about to take a step forward but a light engulfed before that. I just glared at that bastard before my vision blurred.
….
….
"Ah!" I breathed out when I was brought back to the real world.
"Hey, what did you do…" Eric asked with an utterly shocked expression.
Then Milleia "Sir Nyrel…she is awake…"
I looked down. My hand was still on Rubina's forehead.
"T-Thank you…" Rubina thanked with a healthier face than before. She didn't have that pale face anymore. She was still recovering so she fell asleep as soon as she muttered these words.
I stood up and leaned my back on the wall. I was tired ntally and physically after eting Baphot. I put on a tough front there but I was really shivering in front of his monstrous pressure. But in the end, that bastard noticed my state and even made fun of .
I knew it.
Since I t Cleenah and the other two, I already knew that the Gods were clearly in another realm of strength compared to us, lesser races. Still, I didn't expect that Baphot to be that strong. I couldn't even tell how strong he was since it was unfathomable. I felt like I couldn't beat him with even thousands of years of training…
'Cleenah?'
[]
I sighed inwardly at her lack of answer.
I knew she was there.
'You are angry?'
[]
I closed my ears but it was useless as her voice rang inside my mind.
'I know, it's my fault, I should have told y-'
[]
I had never heard such a angry
I was so engrossed with Milleia's Event and Annabelle's apparition that I just shrugged it off.
'Well, I thought that he wouldn't rember in the real world…'
