"What the hell is that?" I asked.

"A room inside my royal castle, you should be grateful Edward," Viessa said puffing out her chest.

"I asked for quarters and we are four, and there is only one bed," I said pointing at the bed. It might be large but the four of us would be definitely cramped there.

"Hm, for now you will have to stick with this or there is the sofa there," Viessa added before walking off but she stopped before closing the door. "Oh, and the walls are thick enough to muffle mist sound but don’t over do it okay?" She smiled aningfully before leaving.

"W–What is she saying...!" Alicia’s cheeks flushed in anger.

"She thinks we are going to have a threeso," I replied.

"I–I know that! I am not a child!" Alicia glared at .

"Threeso?" Levina blinked her eyes in confusion.

Alicia holding Levina glared at .

I am disqualified to be a father.

"It’s nothing, it just an we are going to sleep together," I replied.

"W–What?"

"Stop crying, I will sleep on the sofa, it’s fine, you can sleep on the bed with Levina an Amaya," I replied. "Is that fine for you?" I asked Amaya.

"I need blood." Amaya replied.

"Alright, Alicia will provide you once I am done with her," I said.

"Why don’t you give her?" Alicia asked.

"Because I am not a blood bank," I replied shortly.

There was also the reason that I felt weird enough getting bite bby Alicia and I didn’t want to multiply the feeling by several tis by adding Amaya in the group.

It might be because each ti Elizabeth sucked my blood, we ended up clinging to each other, kissing and all so maybe sowhere inside , I was expecting or maybe even desiring that.

"Now let’s get this done quickly," I said to Alicia.

Alicia furrowed her brows clearly bracing hersezlf ntally about what was going to happen before placing Levina on the bed.

"Take care of her," she said to Amaya.

"..." Amaya stared at Levina who bead a smile at her.

"Don’t do anything weird, alright?" I shot a quick glance toward Amaya, just to be safe. With her, you could never be too cautious.

"You’re the one about to do weird things—with her." She jabbed a finger toward Alicia, whose face turned a vibrant shade of red, like soone had just flicked a switch.

"We’re not doing anything weird!" Alicia snapped, her fists clenched at her sides. Without waiting for a reply, she stord over and sat stiffly on the couch.

I followed her and sat down beside her. Neither of us said anything for a mont.

I stole a glance at her, silently asking if she was waiting for to say sothing—or if she was hesitating.

"Don’t look," Alicia muttered without eting my eyes.

"As always," I replied with a sigh, turning my gaze away to give her so space. I tilted my head slightly, exposing the side of my neck to her.

Alicia shifted, kneeling on the couch beside . I felt her hand gently rest on my shoulder, then—

Her fangs sank into my skin.

That familiar sensation hit imdiately: a confusing blur between pain and pleasure, sharp and strangely intimate. I gritted my teeth but stayed still, letting her feed. I told myself I could handle it.

Seconds ticked by.

Then more seconds.

It started feeling... long.

Too long.

A creeping dizziness began to spread through my head like a slow fog. I blinked rapidly, trying to keep my vision steady.

"Hey... how long are you planning to drink?" I asked, my voice already slightly slurred.

"Mmmn," she murmured, not even lifting her head. That didn’t sound like an answer—it sounded like she was completely zoned out.

Her fingers dug deeper into my shoulder.

I glanced down.

Her eyes were closed. Her brows drawn together, her expression entranced. She wasn’t just feeding—she was lost in it.

"Alicia?" I called her na again, more urgently this ti.

My vision began to darken at the edges. A sharp panic gripped my gut.

I grabbed her arm.

"Hey, I think you’ve had enough..." I began.

But before I could finish, she snapped her other hand around my wrist—tight, firm, almost like a warning. And then she opened her eyes.

They weren’t Alicia’s usual eyes.

They were glowing. A deep, dangerous crimson that shimred with sothing wild—sothing hungry.

She leaned in closer.

"Calm down!" I shouted. I pushed myself off the sofa with a burst of strength, managing to shift her weight and flip her onto the ground.

Finally, her fangs slipped free of my neck.

"Ah..." Alicia gasped softly, as if coming up for air. Her eyes slowly faded back to normal, the haze of bloodlust retreating. She looked up at , her expression twisting as the realization hit her.

"I—I’m sorry... I don’t know what ca over ..."

Her voice trembled with guilt.

I covered my neck with one hand, trying to hide the damage while the other braced my shaky body. I managed a strained smile, wobbling on my feet before slumping back down onto the couch.

"It’s alright," I muttered between ragged breaths. "I shouldn’t have made you wait so long."

My chest rose and fell as I tried to steady my breathing. My head still spun. I bit my lip, hard—hard enough to draw my own blood.

And that’s when her face flashed through my mind.

Elizabeth.

The mory of her wasn’t gentle.

It stabbed into my chest, a jagged blade of guilt and sorrow. I had been only thinking about her while I had my blood sucked. It was impossible to not think about her.

And now she was gone.

This pain... it wasn’t the bite that hurt the most.

It was the weight of losing soone you loved.

Just when things had started to turn around—when our fractured bond had begun to nd—everything fell apart. I ruined it. No... I destroyed it.

She died because of .

If only I hadn’t been so impulsive. If I hadn’t attacked Anasthara... if I had just let her go, stayed behind like I should have...

I clenched my fists so tightly my nails dug into my palms.

Cleenah had warned .

She told what would happen if I took the Prophecy for granted. That I might think I was safe just because my fate said I wouldn’t die yet. But fate doesn’t protect the people around you. It protects you. Everyone else is expendable to its design.

People would be sacrificed to keep alive.

And I let it happen.

Roda and Elizabeth shouldn’t have died.

"Senior."

Alicia called then.

"Yeah," I mumbled, barely glancing up. My hand remained pressed against my neck, trying to cover the blood that still trailed down slowly.

"Do you... need blood?" She asked. "I can offer mine, if you want."

That made raise my gaze.

Alicia stood there, visibly flustered but serious. She was genuinely offering—even if it embarrassed her deeply. I could tell she was worried, maybe even feeling guilty. Perhaps she thought I was upset, or maybe she just didn’t like the idea of suffering silently.

I shook my head slowly. "No, it’s fine," I said, standing up and brushing myself off. "You should give your blood to Amaya. She’s been pestering about it nonstop."

Alicia blinked in surprise, then gave a faint nod before turning toward Amaya.

"If—"

-Thud!

Alicia never got to finish her sentence.

Amaya lunged forward, tackling her to the ground without warning. Before Alicia could react, Amaya already had her fangs in her neck, biting down.

"Ahn...!" Alicia gasped, the sound caught sowhere between surprise and—well, sothing else.

I watched them for a mont longer than I should have.

Amaya, straddling Alicia, her lips pressed tightly to her neck, her body shifting slightly as she drank. Alicia’s hands clenched Amaya’s shoulders, a soft flush spreading across her cheeks.

This was oddly erotic...

I turned away quickly, heading toward the other side of the room where Levina was curled up. I sat down on the bed beside her, and without saying anything, she climbed into my lap and wrapped her little arms around my chest.

Then she looked up at , her wide, curious eyes locking onto the blood that still clung to my neck.

"Papa... are you hurt?" She asked, looking up at .

"No, your mama just needed so blood," I replied, ruffling her hair gently.

"Oh! But..." She turned her head toward the bed where Amaya and Alicia were still entangled. "What is Mama doing?"

I quickly cupped my hand over her eyes. "Nothing you need to worry about," I said hastily.

When they finally finished, I decided to give them so space. I headed to another room to take a quick shower, letting the warm water wash away the stickiness of the day and the thoughts I didn’t want to entertain too much.

By the ti I returned, the room had quieted down.

The girls had freshened up, and now the bed looked like sothing from a cozy dream. Alicia and Amaya were lying on opposite sides. In the center, snuggled between them, was Levina—her small fra rising and falling with soft, content breaths.

"Papa!" She called out the mont she saw , eyes lighting up.

"You should be asleep, Levina," I said with a tired chuckle, settling down on the nearby sofa.

"N-No!" She protested imdiately, her lips trembling. "Sleep with and Mama!"

Alicia flinched at that—just slightly, but enough that I caught it.

"There’s no space, Levina," I replied, stifling a yawn as I reclined on the sofa. "I will sleep here tonight."

"P–Papa... wwaaahh!!"

I shot upright.

"L–Levina?!"

Tears were already pouring down her cheeks. She rubbed her eyes with her tiny fists, her cries echoing off the walls. Alicia was awkwardly trying to calm her down, but it clearly wasn’t working.

"I-I want to sleep with Papa and Mama..." She whimpered, looking up at Alicia with tear-filled eyes.

Alicia glanced at , visibly unsure of what to do.

I sighed deeply and turned my eyes to Amaya.

"Can you take the sofa for tonight, Amaya? If we’re staying another day, I’ll ask them to bring in an extra bed."

"..."

Amaya stared at , her expression unreadable for a mont. Then, without a word, she slid off the bed.

"Thanks," I murmured.

I climbed into the now-spacious bed, sliding under the sheets beside Levina. She imdiately brightened, grabbing my arm and pulling it close to her chest with a giggle of contentnt. On her other side, Alicia lay silent, but when our eyes t, her cheeks flushed. She quickly turned around, facing the wall.

I smiled a little amused.

For a mont, everything felt... peaceful.

That is, until I felt the bed dip behind .

"...What?"

I turned slightly, and there was Amaya, slipping back under the covers, her lithe fra fitting easily into the space behind .

She t my gaze without a hint of sha.

"What is it?" She asked, tilting her head.

"...Nothing," I mumbled, shifting a little further away from her. There was no point arguing.

One hour later...

I was still wide awake.

Amaya had practically glued herself to my back, her body warm and soft. I could feel her breathing against , even the slight movent of her chest with each slow inhale. Levina, blissfully unaware, had both arms wrapped around like a plush toy.

There was no way I could sleep like this.

Not with Amaya pressed against like that.

Not with Alicia’s back turned but clearly still awake.
