When Malik finally carried his group of two and left the house, Ravi let out a sigh of relief as he had just finished running a marathon. Sage, Lana, and Malik were already a lot on their own, the three of them together, Ravi would rather go for a mission.

Asher was sitting cross-legged on the dining table, he had fought with Sage, reconciled, and fought again. It was a good thing, Malik had whispered to him, it shows how comfortable he was to disagree with soone.

Ravi looked forward to that ti when Asher would fight with him like this. His lips twitched, he was a little nervous also when that ti would co.

He looked at the ice cream bucket on the table and helped himself and helped himself to so. Scooping so ice cream into his small glass bowl, he helped himself to so of the toppings on the table.

Sage’s ability of portal manipulation was very interesting, Ravi just hoped that he had not stolen these toppings from a store that was struggling to be afloat. What was he saying, he hoped that he had not stolen these toppings at all.

With so strawberries, so crushed pecans, and chocolate chips, he carried the bowl and headed to the living room.

"Are you watching this show or not, Ash?"

Asher sat up imdiately, "I am watching it." He carried his bowl over to the living room and Ravi took out his phone to play so gas.

He took the spoonful carefully dug in, scooping so ice cream with every topping. The sweet and soft ice cream lted in his mouth, sending sweet chills into his taste buds. It was refreshing and soft like a snowfall and sweet.

Far too sweet. It reminded him of Arlen. Scrolling, she found the crossword puzzle app that he had barely touched in a while.

"An Ancient Greek city-state {6}"

That one was simple. Sparta. The row glowed green to show that it was correct and Ravi grinned. He looked up at the show Asher was watching, it was PG13, right?

It should be. He had checked before. Ravi wanted to concentrate on his ga but his mind still went back to the television.

"Excuse ." He took the remote and checked, smiling when it showed that the show was indeed PG 13.

Asher looked at him with a confused expression on his face, he shook his head to tell him never mind.

His mind returned to his ga.

"The official address of a King and Queen {4}"

Your Majesty, no, that was not four words. Yours, that is just crazy. Maje? Ravi stops joking around. He bit his lips lightly before his eyes glowed.

He swiped, minimizing the app as he went to the ssage app. Clicking on Asher’s profile, he took his ti to admire the small profile picture of the handso blonde man in the water before he opened it.

Their last ssage was ’Thank you.’

So cold.

Ravi wanted to prolong the conversation but he had no idea how to, now, he might have a clue on how to do it.

"I need a little help."

It did not take a minute for Ravi to see a reply.

"Just say the words, I would ride at dawn."

Ravi chuckled.

"You should stop watching all these movies. They are ssing with your head."

"I would like to think they are making a better man."

"You don’t need movies for that." Ravi instantly sat up, the two small marks, showed that the ssage had already been sent.

What to do? What to do? He could not retract the text, he should just try and play it off. Scrolling up, he added a laughing sticker before freezing. Immortals Aye, what on earth was he typing, was his brain scrambled? Withdraw! Withdraw this entire two minutes.

It is a pity that life does not co with an eraser.

His phone vibrated and he hurriedly looked at it. It was a worried father pacing up and down.

"I have a feeling you really do need my help. Should I co over?"

Yes. He wanted to type yes. Considering how his fingers rushed before his brain could finish deciding the words to send, now would be the ti for his fingers to do so once again but they stayed as stiff as a board.

How would Arlen feel if he ca over and it was just a crossword puzzle? Besides, there was sothing he wanted to teach Asher today.

"It is just a crossword puzzle."

"I would co over if there was a nick on your finger. If it concerns you, then it is important to ."

Ravi choked, almost flinging the phone across the planet, his cheeks turned so red and he coughed several tis.

As a friend. As a friend. As a friend. Ravi whispered the words so many tis, wishing that he could just tattoo it on his skin.

Arlen does not an anything by his words. Hope is a dangerous thing.

"Be serious. The official address of a King and Queen {4}"

There was a sticker. This ti of a dog who was abandoned at the street corner. Then his words.

"Sire."

A fire rushed through his body, he could imagine it. Arlen said those words out loud, the low timbre of his voice, deep, decadent like the chocolate syrup or fine whiskey, whispering it next to his ears.

He instantly sat up. Fuck!

Even away from his bed, Arlen still haunted him. Pushing that fire down, he put it in an air-tight, sealed box before burying it in the deepest part of the ocean.

He typed the four letters and it beeped green.

"I got it right. What is the next one?"

"I know that one." Should he have said that he did not know, so at least they could continue chatting?

"Oh! Wait a minute, Ravi!"

Soon Ravi saw a notification pop up on his phone. Swipe to accept video calls.

Video call. He jumped up from his seat, teleporting to his bathroom. He looked at the mirror, he had barely had any sleep so his face looked a little pale and there were shadows beneath his eyes. He ward the water and patted his face, it did not help much. Signing, he used the water to fluff up his hair before teleporting back to the living room.

Asher watched him incredulously but Ravi was in a hurry to pick up the phone.

The image of Arlen soon appeared on the screen, "Hello! Ravi." There was a huge smile on his face and he held an ice popsicle.

"Arlen."

"Missed you."

Ravi felt that his heart was filled with a sickening sweetness similar to their bowl of ice cream, it was as if he was floating on clouds.

He added this mont to his jar.

Ravi was holding a jar full of sweet monts that had been long counted.
