Arlen thought over what Ravi said. The two of them had left the dark room, walking downstairs as people rushed to and fro.
"If I was the mission taker. I would choose Number One.
Ravi nodded, "Taking a life is one of the easiest things a person can do." It was far easier to make a person shoot a gun than it was to give them a knife and force them to carve soone up.
Killing has always been a little too easy for the creatures under Heaven. That is a fact of life.
In addition, for soone like Anouk. Born in the Sinclair family, he had started training from a very young age and had entered dungeons before he was sixteen. He was not a stranger to blood. Under the right circumstances, he could kill anyone.
"Malik is not picking up my calls. Should we try to track him too?"
Ravi shook his head, "Malik can kill the trackers if he doesn’t want to be found."
"How about the kids? Let’s go and bring them here. They would be safer here." Arlen said as he held Ravi’s hand to be teleported. With his whole family working together to find Anouk, he was much more at ease.
Ravi nodded and was about to teleport when a car flew down so sharply that Ravi had to stretch forth his hand to destabilize the landing. The car, more like a shuttle, had a sleek, teardrop-shaped body. The humming of the shuttle quietened into a gentle purr as the side doors slid open with a pneumatic hiss, revealing three people.
The person in the front had long red hair tied into a high ponytail and a gold rimless glass perched delicately on his high bridge nose.
"Baba." Arlen gretted and the ma smiled faintly at him. The corner of his hair had started to grey and yet it seed to give the man an even more scholarly appearance.
Arthur Sinclair. Chief Researching Officer of the Sinclair Group. This was Anouk’s father.
"This is..."
"Ravi West." Arthur interrupted and stretched his hand towards Ravi, "I am Dr Arthur Sinclair. It is truly a pleasure to et you." His red eyes ran through Ravi’s form and Ravi felt it.
It was an invasion different from Malik’s ntal invasion. This one was broader if possible.
This person could see him, like see him.
"I feel a little reassured with you here, Mr. West."
Arlen sighed, "Baba’s ability is Energy Perception." Arlen whispered to Ravi.
Ravi had guessed as much. Just as Arlen had wholeheartedly accepted his family, he wanted to do the sa for his lover, "It is a pleasure to et you too. Dr Arthur. Please call Ravi; I will do everything I can to help. We just have to pick up my family and bring them here. It would not take up to five minutes. I hope that is okay."
Arthur nodded, "We have a lot of room. They can use the 10th Wing. Caleb and Eve would help them get settled in." He continued staring at Ravi. His red eyes were so wide and focused that Ravi felt a bit of goosebumps.’"
"Baba. Please, if he leaves because of you. I would go to the monastery."
Ravi chuckled, "Don’t mind him. I don’t stare so easily."
Arthur blushed, "I am sorry. It is just your energy control is so perfect. I have never seen anything like that in my life. You are amazing."
Arlen stood in front of Ravi, "Baba. He is mine."
It was Ravi’s turn to blush and he reached out to pinch Arlen’s waist, causing his lover to gasp and then laugh.
"I will be back. We would find Anouk."
Arthur smiled lightly, "I know. When he was small, a prophet...Well, go get your family, I can tell you when you get back."
Ravi took Arlen and teleported.
"Fascinating. Quick. Capture the left behind participles."
Ravi had no idea what happened when he left. They appeared in Alstria and he searched for Malik. He was not here either.
Ravi then turned to Arlen, "A prophet?"
The two of them walked into Sage;’s workshop greeting the Master at the gate, "Sage. That little brat is organizing his class into so kind of gang competition."
Ravi chuckled.
"The Prophet. Delphina. She died when I was 15. She ca to visit when Anouk was five years old and she said that he would face a death crisis when he turned 26. He turned 26, 4 years ago. Nobody particularly believed her. Except Baba. He built so kind of do and forbade Anouk to leave but Anouk would abide by what he called, an old woman’s rambling."
"Okay. This is how we would do it. The left group would wear a red bandana and ..."
"Sage." Ravi called aloud, then turned to Arlen, "I can see him saying that. Without any smile on his face. Like this."
He made the best face he could based on his brief eting with Anouk and Arlen chuckled.
"Nailed it."
"What are you guys doing here?" Sage said as he ca out of the classroom, "Don’t tell we are going on the cruise right now."
"No sothing ca up. We need you to stay in the Capital, at Arlen’s ho for a few days."
"The Sinclair’s. You know that his mother was the forr Chairman of the Heroes Association right? And I am a wanted villain."
"Nobody would do anything to you, I promise you."
Sage just raised an eyebrow, not budging.
"Malik is also missing. I need soone to take care of Ash for . Sage..."
Sage sighed like an old man, "We also have so safe houses we can stay but Fine. If I don’t do it, who will?"
Arlen’s lips twitched and then his phone rang. He frowned, moving away to pick it up.
"What ca up? Is it about Malik’s lover? That hero?"
"You are very smart, You know that, right?"
"Ravi." Arlen’s voice was serious, his expression tense.
"Yes. How many..."
"Twenty. Twenty children from twenty monasteries have been reported missing."
