I Am Tired Of Being A Hero Chapter 46: Having Lunch; My cat is cute

The man and cat walked to the door when Ravi paused, ’You can shapeshift, right?"

He was afraid. Ravi could see it, the way he tensed, the hesitation in his eyes. He squatted down and picked up a small piece of sand from the ground, "Your power is like this to . I do not need it so I would not take advantage of you. I want to beco a bit smaller so you can fit into my pocket. I don’t have a carrier. If you do not want to, we can go in, I will make you lunch then go shopping by myself."

He waited for a response. A minute later, the body started contorting until a smaller version of the kitten was lying on the ground. Ravi picked it up and kept it in his left pocket. Its furry head peered out of the pocket, looking around curiously.

"I have no neighbors." Ravi explained, in case the child was wondering while everywhere was so quiet. He would need a shopping cart, right? Taking a button off his shirt, he transford it into a shopping cart, not the large ones in the supermarkets but the smaller ones that you would see in stores.

Ah!

"If you are uncomfortable in the pocket, you can jump into the shopping cart." The cat did not move so Ravi started his journey down to his transport panel alley. The old alley had no security caras so it was perfect for his teleportation to the main city area.

It was more delicate, teleporting others so Ravi had to control the atoms perfectly so that the kitten would be reconstructed as he was.

They stepped out of the alley, Ravi looked left and right. It would not do for any of his colleagues to see him after he had expressly said that he was not feeling fine.

"Let us have lunch first." The great thing about the marketplace was that it was always accompanied by food. Before the main market, there was a street filled with stores selling different kinds of food and drinks. Ravi had not been a particularly picky eater so he just walked up to the first store that he saw. There were a few custors outside and the look on their faces was as if they were enjoying the food.

There were so wooden benches in front of the small store and he sat down on the uttermost bench. He placed the cart next to him and lifted the cat, placing him opposite him.

A middle-aged man walked towards him, "A new face? What do you want to eat? We have the best buns in Davenport."

Ravi looked at the man and then looked at the cat, "I would have two servings of at buns, so vegetable bun, a bowl of soup, and so fish porridge." It was a simple stall with just one person cooking so it took at least ten minutes for his food to be ready.

A young woman soon ca out with his food, "Mister your food is ready." She looked young, either in her last year of high school or her first year in college. She wore light makeup and had so kohl designs on her face.

She placed the food on the tray and smiled widely at Ravi.

"Your cat is very very cute. Can I sit here?"

"Trane, co back here." Her mother called out from the kitchen. The girl ignored it and sat next to the cat, causing the little cat to tense up.

Ravi frowned.

"Are you an idol? You look like soone I have seen before."

He did not bother to entertain her questions, "My food is getting cold. I would like to eat in peace."

A sad expression crossed the young woman’s face and she bit her lips, "You are not even that handso, anyway." She stood up and turned around, "And your cat is not cute."

Ravi did not spare her a glance, he placed the vegetable buns and the fish porridge on the side of the cat. Seeing its crestfallen expression, "You are a cute cat." Children needed positive reinforcents to grow up well.

The cat’s eyes still did not brighten. It bent down and gently bit the buns before looking up, the cornflower blue now shiny.

Ravi also took one bun and bit into it. The bun was soft and fluffy, the at was seasoned with a hint of spice. Delicious. He tried the soup, it was warm, slightly sweet, and sour. It was not as delicious as the bun, but it was okay. Especially when you dip the bun into the soup.

He slowed down his pace a lot but he still finished the food before the cat did. The cat was still lapping at the soup. Ravi took out his phone and started watching so videos.

"ow." A tentative cry ca.

He looked across at him, "Are you done?" The cat hesitated, "Then continue, I will wait for you." The potion was not large, it should be okay for a thirteen-year-old child. He wondered, since the child was a cat, would it need the nutrition of a human or the nutrition of a cat?

"You like it a lot."

The cat nodded.

"Should I buy it? You can have porridge for lunch tomorrow. I would make it fresh in the morning."

He had to wake up early and even cook in the morning but for so reason, he did not find it really troubleso. Just a tad. His lips twitched to a smile.

He walked to the stall and the young woman looked at his outstretched hand, "I would like so fish porridge to go."

She looked a little guilty for her easy words, "About what I said.."

"Swipe the card." He did not care both for her words and for her apology.

She was surprised and she bit her lips. Soon she ca out with the bag containing the tub of fish porridge, "I added so buns as an apology."

Ravi put the package in the shopping cart and the kitten jumped down from his pocket to the shopping cart, sitting near the fish porridge while looking around curiously.

Ravi smiled.
