Bina ca over to the table, she looked like she had just been scolded but her light green eyes were still glittering when she stared at Ravi. She carried the trays out and returned with the card reader.

Ravi looked at Arlen and then stretched his hand. He suppressed the urge to pay for his food, this man had been the person who had scolded him the last ti they went to a restaurant for not mooching off from the boss.

Arlen placed the black card with gold rims in his hand, "You learn quickly."

Bina’s eyes moved from Arlen to Ravi before she took the card and swiped it, "Hope you enjoyed the al, we even offer take-out services." Unlike the first ti they t, she was much friendlier.

She sneakily looked towards the kitchen and then looked back at Ravi, bending down to whisper, "This officer, I think you are really handso. Do you have a social dia account?"

Ravi had just finished eating and his posture was like he had no bones, he glanced at her and shook his head. He did not have an official social dia account, just the one he used to watch cooking videos.

"It is a pity, If an officer opened a social dia account, you should add , my ID is Pretti Bina, with an I not a y, I would follow you imdiately. I would be your first fan."

Arlen, who was drinking a cup of cold water and laughing instantly stopped laughing, "That would not do."

Bina’s brows rumbled, "Why? Are you saying that police officers can not have social dia accounts?’ She was the kind of loyal stan that once she made her choice, every other person was like dust in her eyes. Seeing Ravi’s lancholic and delicate beauty, Arlen; ’s sunny handsoness was like a cup of black coffee, not worth considering.

Arlen tapped his chest, "I am here. I am his number-one fan already. When he opens his social dia account, he will add first."

Bina, "..."

Ravi, "..." What kind of adult involved themselves in such childishness with a teenager? He covered his face, he was embarrassed for him, alright?

He stood up and nodded politely, "Thank you for the al. Captain, let us go."

Arlen also stood up and after grinning at the shocked girl, he followed behind Ravi.

It was already after one p.m and the sun was already here in the sky. Ravi entered the car and started it, he switched on the air conditioner, controlled it, and looked at Arlen who was jotting sothing in a black notebook.

"Captain?"

"We will go to the hospital, we have already been delayed for so long." The childish person had already gone and his brows were furrowed as he read the words in the notebook.

Ravi’s lips twitched, his appearance when studying was even more handso.

He did not distract him, driving steadily until they reached the hospital. It was the sa hospital that they had been earlier in the week and yet one could not tell that there had been a fight between villains and officers here.

Everything looked normal.

"The Hero Association Clean-up crew are really good at their job." Arlen said when he noticed Ravi looking around.

Not bad. Ravi noted.

Davenport Hospital was the only state-owned hospital in Davenport, the corridor was rowdy with various doctors and nurses coming and going. They t the nurse who directed them to the doctor in charge of the case and they were shown to the ward where Mrs Mary Micheal was resting.

Unlike her brother and father who suffered fourth-degree burns before suffocating to death, the boss of the Micheal grill was much luckier, suffering fewer damage.

"It is a miracle." He had said.

The woman was lying on the hospital bed, her legs were wrapped in bandages and her arm was wrapped and hung to the ceiling. Small red blisters were all over her body.

"It is not as bad as it looks." The woman said, she did not sound like the evil, nagging, soul-sucking shrew that most of her neighbors described. She was in her late thirties, her brown eyes like that of a doe and while she had a pained look on her face, she looked gentle.

"It looks so painful. Did the doctors give you sothing for the pain?"

Mary was surprised for a minute before she nodded, "Yes, an hour ago."

"May we sit, my na is Captain Arlen Sinclair, and this is my partner, Ravi West. We just want to ask you so questions about what happened last night."

Ravi looked sharply at Arlen, partner, they were not, not really. He was Lisa’s partner according to the Sergeant’s chart. Partner. He would like that.

They sat in the seats opposite the woman. Ravi took out the recording pen and a notebook.

"This might be even more painful to rember but we need you to be as brave as you can. Can you tell us what happened last night?" His voice was soothing and friendly.

The woman took a deep breath, trying to steady her voice, "Yesterday, my father and my brother ca back from the Capital. My brother was fired from work, so I decided to grill so pork so that we would have a little reunion dinner. We have not seen each other for more than seven years. Jack and Dad..." Her voice cracked at this mont.

"You were having dinner and then what happened?" Arlen prodded gently.

"We were arguing. I don’t...rember what...I...oh my god!" Tears sprang in her eyes as she recalled the last conversation she had with her family was an argunt.

Ravi noticed the tears welling up in her eyes and he handed her a tissue from the bedside table, "Take your ti, Miss Micheals."

After a mont, She composed herself and continued, "We did not even notice the smoke until it was too late. The fire was everywhere, I went for the fire extinguisher and the last thing I rember was when I woke up here."

"Thank you, Miss Micheal. Is there anything..."

"Wait!" Her voice was hoarse and urgent.
