Su Yu'er directly tossed the token to the waiting Bai i.
Looking at the Yunjie Sect disciple token, Bai i was filled with disbelief.
She couldn’t believe it—Su Yu'er had actually agreed just like that.
“Thank you, Miss Su. You’ve saved from a dire situation. Bai i has no way to repay you, but I will serve your elder brother faithfully.”
Bai i bowed her head sincerely.
Even though she still had to serve soone, it was far better than falling into Wen Chengyu’s hands and suffering a fate worse than death.
“Rember to listen well to my brother, Skull. This is a great opportunity for you!”
Su Yu'er earnestly instructed.
Bai i nodded, though with a bitter smile.
While she was grateful to Su Yu'er for temporarily escaping Wen Chengyu’s clutches, the situation had improved sowhat, but she still had to give herself up to serve another.
So how could this be called an opportunity?
She didn’t dare to hope for any real opportunity. All she could wish for was that the “Brother Skull” Su Yu'er spoke of would be a relatively decent person.
After dressing Bai i up ticulously, the two of them headed toward the Demon Gathering Plains.
Soon, they arrived at the boundary of the black mist.
The edge.
A small river flowed gently.
Within it were multiple forbidden arrays, preventing the black mist from spreading further.
Without a second thought, Su Yu'er leaped across.
“Ah!”
Behind her, Bai i covered her red lips, letting out a gasp of surprise.
“What are you ‘ah’-ing about?”
Su Yu'er turned slightly and asked.
“M-Miss Su, you just crossed over like that?” Bai i asked, her face filled with disbelief.
“Heh, it’s just a river. Once you’re over, you’re over. No need to make such a fuss.” Su Yu'er, recalling Yi Feng’s actions, couldn’t help but wave her hand dismissively, speaking as if it were nothing.
“???”
“It’s just a river?”
Bai i’s red lips parted in shock.

“It’s no big deal. Hurry up and co over!”
Su Yu'er said lightly.
Bai i clenched her teeth.
Since things had already co to this, Bai i decided she might as well go all the way.
Besides, Su Yu'er had no reason to harm her.
With a light leap, Bai i crossed the river as well.
Beyond the river was an endless expanse of black mist, so thick that one couldn’t see their own hand in front of their face.
“M-Miss Su, can you see anything?” Bai i couldn’t help but ask.
“Yeah, it’s a bit dark out.”
Su Yu'er glanced at the sky, then reached into her hand and pulled out a torch, lighting it up with a *whoosh*.
Instantly, as the flas rose, the surrounding black mist was driven away.
Bai i once again covered her red lips in shock.
“Miss Su, what kind of divine artifact is this? It can actually disperse the black mist?”
Bai i asked in amazent.
“A torch!”
Su Yu'er’s lips curled slightly, unnoticed, as she stood with her hands behind her back, speaking nonchalantly.
“A torch?”
“What an incredible thing.”
Bai i couldn’t help but praise.
“It’s nothing special. Let’s go.”
Su Yu'er smirked and walked ahead with her head held high.
Behind her, Bai i followed cautiously, occasionally glancing around in vigilance, and at other tis looking at Su Yu'er with admiration.
Seeing this, Su Yu'er puffed out her chest even more.
Was this the deanor of a master?
It felt great!
Especially when she thought of the countless sect disciples waiting in the Demon Gathering Plains to hunt demonic creatures, it made her, the “mastermind,” feel amused.
The feeling of strategizing and manipulating the world in the palm of her hand was truly wonderful.
Though, she had only killed one.
But at least she was one of the participants!!!
After passing through the black mist, the two entered Dark Shadow Island.
The mont they set foot on the island, an overwhelming surge of spiritual energy washed over Bai i.
Bai i swore she had never felt such dense spiritual energy in her life. Just by taking a few deep breaths, she felt her strength improve significantly.
She never expected that beyond the black mist, there could be such a paradise.
“Kid, hurry up! If you don’t finish carrying these thirty loads of manure today, I’ll make sure you regret it.”
Nearby, Lu DaSheng, holding a long whip, stood with his hands on his hips, berating a young man.
Bai i instinctively looked over and nearly froze in shock.
The disheveled young man carrying a pair of manure buckets, being driven by the whip, was soone she recognized.
It was Zhao Gu.
One of the direct disciples of the Dao Sect.
Though her status wasn’t particularly high, she was still an inner disciple of the Yunjie Sect, so she was familiar with so notable figures, especially since there were often grand occasions between sects.
Why was Zhao Gu here?
Her mind was in turmoil.
Wasn’t Zhao Gu supposed to be missing? The Dao Sect had been searching for him extensively. How did he end up here carrying manure?
She couldn’t believe it.
Zhao Gu, as a direct disciple of the Dao Sect, was undoubtedly one of the most talented and powerful among the younger generation. How could such a proud individual be reduced to carrying manure here?
