Wen Yan imdiately thought—was it that stupid son of his who inexplicably got involved that ti, and ended up getting all the benefits?

He wasn’t so clueless newbie anymore; of course he knew just how hard it was for those Taoists chasing cultivation to forge a Spirit Platform Dao Foundation.

His thoughts spun fast, and he imdiately lowered his voice and barked,

"Taoist priest, watch your words!"

Taoist Qingfeng imdiately zipped his lips. With a wry smile, he totally understood—this was not sothing you could just blurt out.

Wen Yan thought for a mont, then lowered his voice even more.

"This really is connected to the Old Celestial Master, also to Fuyu Mountain, and it even involves a major operation by the Scorching Sun Departnt. Don’t go shouting about this, Taoist priest."

Qingfeng Taoist instantly rembered the incident in Virtue City a couple days ago. He’d only heard that sothing seed to have happened over here, so he’d co to check it out, but once he got near, it seed like everything was already wrapped up.

He got a bit discouraged. Damn, this ti he really missed his shot.

Thinking about it, it made sense. Only that deep and unfathomable Old Celestial Master could have divine skills like this.

"It was presumptuous of ..."

They were in the middle of their chat when a car pulled in. Out stepped Seventh Great-Uncle Master and Eighth Uncle-Master Ancestor, who was wearing sunglasses.

Wen Yan hurriedly got up to pay his respects.

Then, Seventh Great-Uncle Master glanced over at the person on the phone, his expression tightening the mont he saw who it was.

"Qing Xuzi?"

"Uh, Wu Zhenzi?" Qingfeng Taoist froze a bit. Damn—he just ntioned them and here really was an old Immortal geezer from Fuyu Mountain.

Seventh Great-Uncle Master imdiately snatched the phone from Wen Yan’s hand and spoke in a heavy, aningful tone.

"Wen Yan, listen up! You absolutely mustn’t chat too much with this demon Taoist. That guy is beyond skilled at beguiling people. Young folks with weak hearts get led astray by him all too easily."

"How do you know that demon Taoist?"

"It’s a family call. They said this Taoist priest maybe wants to take my son as a disciple or sothing..."

When Seventh Great-Uncle Master heard that, his fist clenched hard.

"You, stand aside."

Seventh Great-Uncle Master, phone in hand, marched to one side and started blasting into the call.

"Qing Xuzi, listen up! If you dare go near my great-granddisciple, I’ll go burn your Taoist Temple to the ground, you demon Taoist..."

Seventh Great-Uncle Master gradually walked farther away, so Wen Yan couldn’t make out what was being said over there anymore.

After a good while, Eighth Uncle-Master Ancestor took off his sunglasses, leaned into the cara, and barked.

"If you don’t believe , just try it—Laozi will go bite every last one of your Qingcheng juniors right now!"

Eighth Uncle-Master Ancestor put his sunglasses back on and looked behind. The other people glanced over, then just went on with their own business; nobody seed interested in what was happening over here.

After quite so ti, Seventh Great-Uncle Master and Eighth Uncle-Master Ancestor ca back and handed the phone to Wen Yan.

"Don’t worry. That damned Taoist wouldn’t dare lay a finger on my great-granddisciple."

"If he gets within a hundred steps, I’ll set his Taoist Temple on fire."

Wen Yan had no idea what kind of chatting they’d done, but when he took the phone back, the video call was already disconnected.

He called back, and Sparrow Cat said that the Taoist priest had argued with soone on the phone for ages, lost the argunt, and had already left.

Wen Yan figured it out—the so-called Qingfeng Taoist, actually nad Qing Xuzi, most likely hadn’t brought up the matter of the Spirit Platform Dao Foundation, so Seventh Great-Uncle Master didn’t know about it.

He thought about it and still felt this was too dangerous, so he didn’t say anything and just let Seventh Great-Uncle Master lead the way out for him.

When they arrived at their temporary lodgings, Wen Yan stepped in and saw his silly son lying on the bed, flapping his two stubby little hands, clutching a ball of shifting, glowing light that kept changing shapes—looked just like a balloon, being tugged around for fun.

He didn’t really understand much about the Spirit Platform Dao Foundation, but even he knew: letting the silly kid play with it every day like this...today it’s not Qing Xuzi, but tomorrow it could be Kidney Deficiency Xuzi who’d co knocking...

Qing Xuzi had that utterly distraught look—honestly, anyone else would probably be the sa. They’d be googly-eyed with excitent.

For example, Seventh Great-Uncle Master right now...

Seventh Great-Uncle Master’s eyes were literally shining like two lightbulbs—absolutely in the most literal sense. His gaze was blazing with divine light, his face full of shock.

Seventh Great-Uncle Master reached out and gently touched the ball of spiritual light the silly kid was playing with, then quickly withdrew his hand.

"Heavenly Master above..."

"Seventh Great-Uncle Master, can you temporarily seal it up? This little guy doesn’t really get stuff yet—if he keeps playing with it every day, I’m afraid peaceful days will be gone soon."

Seventh Great-Uncle Master took a while to calm down, then nodded.

"You’re right. Luckily, Qing Xuzi, that demon Taoist, is just a bit too eccentric—he doesn’t actually have a bad heart. If this had run into an Evil Path cultivator, we would really have a disaster on our hands."

Seventh Great-Uncle Master rummaged through his travel bag, took out various bits and bobs, and made a makeshift Dharma Altar. He chanted scripture and the Precious Decree, finally pointing a finger at the little one’s chest.

The spiritual light in the child’s arms shrank and shrank, then dove into his chest, transforming into a cloud-shaped birthmark about the size of a fingernail.

"All done. Before he grows up, nothing like this will ever happen again. The kid really doesn’t understand anything yet, which actually makes his heart as pure as can be. His Spirit Platform Dao Foundation is extraordinarily pure and definitely might attract unwanted attention."

Seventh Great-Uncle Master took off a jade pendant from his own neck, adjusted the string to fit, and hung it around the little guy’s neck.

The old man couldn’t help it—his brows and eyes were full of joy.

Ever since he found out this child had one dad and one papa, he hadn’t asked any other details; he didn’t even ask why Wen Yan ended up as a tool while his son got all the perks.

Either way, this kid was for sure going to be one of their Fuyu Mountain people from now on.

Still in diapers, and already forged his Spirit Platform Dao Foundation—go ask any other sects, is there a single one like that? Who else can manage this?

Of course they had to give him top-notch protection.
