"Don’t worry. This route isn’t on any navigation system, normal satellites can’t capture it, and ordinary people can’t drive onto it. Anyone who can enter this road isn’t exactly what you’d call ’ordinary.’
"We’ve sent robots to investigate before, but they all disappeared. As they moved along, they just vanished from sight, and their signals disappeared too. He looked back towards the road, ntally pinpointing his ho. Confirming he could still locate it and that its direction could guide him, he felt a little reassured.
He knew Cai Heizi had recently been headhunting. He also knew that it seed to have already run into obstacles. The location for this event had been set long ago; even Feng Yao hadn’t seen any issue with it. Wen Yan might not understand the martial exercises, but he understood Cai Heizi. He recalled what Feng Yao had said earlier: Cai Heizi didn’t even have bodyguards, as if he was just waiting for soone to take a potshot at him.
Considering Cai Heizi’s modus operandi, he now had every reason to suspect that Cai Heizi was indeed fishing.
In this Domain, there typically wasn’t anything valuable, and right now, it didn’t seem like there was either. But Cai Heizi was here. The top young talents from Nanwu County, and even from outside Nanwu County, were also present. These people were the most valuable things there. And their value was extrely high, far beyond anything asurable by money.
He just didn’t know how far Cai Heizi’s investigations had gone, or if he had pushed certain people to the brink of desperation. If things had truly reached that point, then even he could see that this would likely be their last and most suitable chance.
A Domain where entering and exiting were both difficult, and where taking the wrong path ant disappearing.
Could there be a more perfect way to shift the bla?
Anyone disappearing here would vanish without a trace—no body, no evidence, no resolution. They would simply be gone, erased from the living world.
How perfect. They might not even need to act directly; safety and secrecy were guaranteed. Perhaps they wouldn’t even need to eliminate Cai Heizi. If a few people died here, a few promising young talents were lost, and a major incident occurred, Cai Heizi would find it impossible to shirk responsibility.
A cascade of thoughts flooded Wen Yan’s mind.
This wasn’t him just badmouthing Cai Heizi; Cai Heizi genuinely enjoyed operating this way. He lays it all out in the open: he lets you see it, he knows you can see it, and you know that he knows you can see it.
