Vera Wave reached out and forcefully pushed him towards the doorway.
"You... You hurry out, go out!"
As soon as she pushed him out of the bathroom, she imdiately shut the door.
"Wrap yourself with a towel so you don’t catch a cold. I’m going to get your clothes," Kris Cooper’s voice called from outside the door. "Where are your feminine products?"
At this point, Vera didn’t have ti to be shy. She couldn’t just go out looking for clothes as she was, could she? Wouldn’t that turn her house into a murder scene?
"The right drawer of the bedroom closet, I think it’s the second one from the bottom?!"
"Okay."
Kris turned and headed to the bedroom.
Vera suddenly rembered her underwear was also there. She swung the door open, intending to stop him, but it was too late. Kris Cooper had already entered her bedroom.
Whatever, they had already slept together; it wasn’t like he hadn’t seen her underwear before.
She pulled a towel from the rack, wrapped it around herself, and, gritting her teeth, resigned herself to the situation.
After rummaging through several drawers, Kris finally found the sanitary napkins she needed. As a man, he obviously didn’t know the difference between day-use or night-use types; he simply grabbed a pack. He also picked out a piece of her underwear and walked over to knock on the door.
Vera opened the door a crack and took the items he handed her. One glance was enough for her brows to furrow.
"This is a pantyliner!"
"What’s a pantyliner?!"
"It’s..." Vera was speechless. How could she explain this to him? "Can you get another pack? Read the words on the package. I need sanitary napkins, not pantyliners!"
Only then did Kris realize his mistake. He hurried back into the bedroom, and this ti, after a careful look, he returned with a pack of sanitary napkins.
Vera took it and imdiately locked the door. She shed her soiled clothes and stepped under the warm spray of the shower, letting out a comfortable sigh.
Then, she chuckled softly.
For years, every ti her period ca, the pain had been so unbearable she wished she could just have her uterus removed. But this ti, she was happier than if she’d won the lottery.
This would last for at least five or six days. Surely, that guy wouldn’t insist on waging a bloody war, would he?
The thought of having such a long break filled her with excitent. She humd a little tune under the shower as she bathed.
After a relaxing shower, she changed into clean underwear, wrapped a towel around herself, tidied up the bathroom, and then Vera swayed her hips as she walked out.
"My period’s here, no one can stop it! No need to keep my husband company, I’m going to get lots of sleep..."
Just as she sang the word ’sleep,’ she heard footsteps from the kitchen.
She turned her head in confusion. Kris Cooper erged, still in his half-damp shirt, holding a glass. Steam rose from the dark red liquid inside.
Vera almost bit her tongue.
"You... you haven’t left?!"
Kris Cooper’s dark eyes narrowed as he strode towards her.
"I’m still here... Are you very disappointed?"
"You... you’ve misunderstood! Really, I didn’t want this either; it just decided to show up on its own!" Fearing Kris Cooper would be angry, Vera put on a show of deep regret. "It’s such a sha. I was actually planning to... get intimate with you. Now... we’ll just have to wait a few days!"
Keep pretending, just keep pretending!
Kris Cooper didn’t need to guess to know she was lying. Just monts ago, she was swaying her hips and humming a tune, and now she was putting on an act for him?!
"It doesn’t matter!" He reached out, pinched her chin, and tilted her face up to et his gaze. "If we want to be intimate, this isn’t the only way."

One night, Vera was nursing her aching back and complaining to a certain soone.
"You’re not allowed to touch tomorrow."
"Vera, you need to be honest. You’ve been the one initiating things from the very beginning."
"Nonsense."
"Don’t believe ? Let’s recap. That night, you ca to my place wearing only a bathrobe to borrow the bathroom. You even deliberately fell and pulled my hand to make touch your thigh. The next day, in your bathroom, you were the one who stripped first and forcibly kissed !"
A pillow ca flying at him.
"Kris Cooper, you’ve taken advantage and now you’re making it look like I’m to bla!"
