Actually, Andre Colin had t Vera Wave long ago in the US, so he recognized her at a glance.
He only knew she had amnesia and deliberately pretended it was their first eting to avoid making her feel awkward.

Before her fingers could touch Andre Colin’s palm, Kris Cooper lifted his hand to grab her arm.

"Fine, I’ll go out!" Kris Cooper glared at him and turned to leave the ward.
Andre Colin smiled and placed his arms on the table, "Vera, I heard from Cooper that you suffered a head injury before. Have you ever experienced headaches or dizziness frequently?"
"I..." Vera hesitated a bit.
Andre Colin kindly smiled, "I’m a doctor. I will keep your privacy and secrets safe. For a better recovery, I hope you’ll be open with ."
Vera nodded, "Yes, and... it’s not just that. Sotis, I have hallucinations too."
"Hallucinations?" Andre Colin mused briefly, "Let give you an example. Is it like... when you see a scene, a similar scenario appears in your mind?"
"Yes, that’s how it feels." Vera pursed her lips, "Previous doctors said I... might have schizophrenia."
"No!" Andre Colin shook his head with a smile, "That’s not it. Those aren’t hallucinations; they’re your mories, your previous mories. Didn’t you lose your mory? Actually, it’s not exactly amnesia, more like a mory disorder. Everyone experiences this kind of situation. It’s like now if I ask you about what happened three days ago, you can’t rember every detail. It’s just that yours is more severe than usual people."
Hearing his calm words, Vera felt much more relaxed.
"Then... can it be cured?"
Although, when her father was still around, he and her grandmother used to tell her many stories from the past, and she also saw many old family photos.
But those stories always felt like soone else’s, losing sixteen years of mory is like losing the entire past, leaving a sense of loss and incompleteness, a feeling of having no place to belong.
"In theory, yes, but the human brain is a very complex organ. We are still studying it, so I can’t absolutely guarantee that I can help you retrieve all your mories." Andre Colin reached out, patting her hand like an older brother, "I’ll do my best to help you."
