The towering figure erging from the stall—who else could it be but Kris Cooper?
A stall? Vera Wave quickly scanned her surroundings. Her gaze swept past the n’s urinals on the wall, and only then did she realize she was standing inside the n’s restroom. An overwhelming urge to drop dead on the spot washed over her.
As Kris Cooper approached, she panicked and lowered her head, her gaze fixed on the tips of her shoes. What if he asks why I ca upstairs? Should I tell him I was looking for the contract? The soft sound of footsteps echoed as black leather shoes slowly approached her. Each tap felt like a blow to her heart. Vera stared at the shoes, now less than twenty centiters from her toes, and subconsciously swallowed.
"Mr. President, I..."
"Move."
"Huh?!" This was completely unexpected. She lifted her face and sneaked a glance at Kris Cooper. "You... what did you say?"
"Move," Kris Cooper repeated, his voice flat and expressionless.

Vera stood frozen for a few seconds before finally realizing—she was blocking the door. She hastily stepped aside, clearing the way.
The man reached out, grabbed the doorknob, pulled the door open, and walked out.
He... he just left?! Of course. Even if I abruptly appeared in the n’s restroom, he wouldn’t spare an extra word. He only said "move" because I was in his way.
A strange emotion suddenly filled her chest, making it feel tight, almost as if she couldn’t breathe.
The door slowly closed.
Just as Kris Cooper’s figure was about to disappear beyond the doorway, Vera finally couldn’t hold back and called out, "Kris Cooper!"
The man stopped, turned around, and looked at her. "What is it?"
"Um..." Vera clutched the hem of her shirt, so nervous she didn’t know how to begin. If this guy finds out I lost the contract, he’ll kill , right?
Footsteps echoed as the man walked back, stopping in front of her once more.
"Speak!"
"I... I just wanted to tell you..." They were standing so close she could even sll the faint scent on him. Vera grew increasingly nervous, stuttering, unable to speak. Seeing the man raise his right hand, she finally blurted out, "You... you didn’t wash your hands!"
That wretched girl! Kris Cooper’s raised hand froze in mid-air, then slowly clenched into a tight fist.
He gritted his teeth, suppressing the urge to grind her to pieces. He turned, walked to the sink, turned on the faucet, and ticulously washed his hands.
After drying his fingers with a paper towel, he turned back to Vera, who looked like she was about to tear the hem of her clothes from nervousness.
"What do you want from ?"

"Not looking for ? Then what are you doing in the n’s restroom on the 52nd floor? Are you here to use it?"
