"No!" Vera Wave spoke in a low voice. Her tone was filled with annoyance, yet it was also soft, a little bitter, brimming with a strange emotion.
But Kris Cooper did not let her go. Instead, he moved his kiss downwards, biting on the zipper of her jacket and pulling it down bit by bit.
His short hair brushed against her skin, sending an electrifying tingle through her.
She was only wearing a zip-up jacket today, with just her underwear beneath it.
He’s crazy!
"Stop!" Vera Wave gasped out.
Kris Cooper gently kissed the skin exposed by her parted collar. He then lifted his face from her chest to et her eyes again, and she finally caught her breath.
"Release now, or else I... I will..."
Before she could finish her sentence, the man suddenly sat up straight. The front seat was narrow, and she was instantly squeezed between the steering wheel and his chest.
Kris Cooper glanced around, his face inching closer to hers.
"I don’t think I’ve ever kissed you in public before."
It was quitting ti, so there were streams of vehicles and pedestrians outside. People passing by the luxury car couldn’t help but curiously peek into it.
The car door was still open, so if they really did anything, it would be clearly visible from outside.
As the man drew closer, Vera Wave’s face turned beet red.
"I admit... I want to marry you!"
The man’s lips curved in satisfaction, and then he raised an eyebrow slightly.
"Then why isn’t the ring on your finger?"
"Because it’s a little tight on my middle finger, but it fits perfectly on my ring finger. We’re not married yet, so I can’t wear it on my ring finger." Vera Wave frowned slightly. "Besides, the ring is too valuable, and I’m afraid of losing it."
Ever since she lost her mory, her mory had been affected, and she was often forgetful. She was genuinely afraid of losing sothing so precious.
Seeing the passersby outside pointing into the car, she wriggled her arms.

Kris Cooper released her, and Vera Wave imdiately scrambled out of the car. Shielding her face, she hurried around the front of the vehicle and got into the passenger seat.
Kris Cooper closed the car door, watched her fasten her seat belt, and promptly started the car.
The car made a U-turn and passed the entrance of the hospital. He glanced sideways at the building, furrowed his brow slightly, then stepped on the accelerator to drive away.
The pedestrians were all hurrying by. Although many glanced at the fancy car, few paid it any real attention.
Not far away, behind a flowering tree, a figure had been watching their every move inside the car and stealthily took photos of Kris Cooper and Vera Wave with a phone.
Only when Kris Cooper’s car had driven out of sight did the figure holding the phone erge from behind the flowering tree.
Looking at the picture of Kris Cooper and Vera Wave on the phone screen, Kylo Sail sneered.
"I thought you were quite capable, but as it turns out, you’re nothing special."
Kris Cooper drove toward the old family house and then spoke in a somber tone.
"What exactly happened? Tell everything in detail!"
Vera Wave zipped up her jacket and composed herself before she began to recount the entire sequence of events to Kris Cooper.
"I’m not completely sure about this, but it must have been arranged by Irene Spencer. Since her assistant did it, there’s no way she’s not involved." Thinking back to how she was set up, she pouted in indignation. "In any case, I’ve taken pictures. I have evidence, so it’s not like I’m blaming her for no reason."
