Ruben Campbell introduced the two make-up artists he had invited to Vera Wave and her friends with a smile. After a brief chat, Ruben went downstairs to check on the preparations with the ushers, while the two make-up artists opened the toolboxes they had brought with them.
"Which lovely lady would like to go first!"
"Do them first, I’m not in a hurry!" Vera pushed rlin Bradley and Ashton to the chairs, then opened her backpack and took out two jewelry boxes, handing them to her friends, "One set each for you. I picked them out specifically to match your dresses!"
The two girls accepted the jewelry boxes and, upon opening them, exclaid simultaneously.
"They’re so beautiful!"
When it cos to jewelry, Vera certainly isn’t lacking. Even during the toughest tis, she had sold quite a few to et living expenses.
Both sets were gifts from her father, and they were her favorites. She didn’t part with them, hoping they’d serve as a nto, and today she brought them to complent her friends’ outfits.
After all, without good matching jewelry, even a high-end dress can appear cheap.
One set features black gemstones, and the other set has pink gemstones and pink diamonds, perfectly matching the girls’ outfits.
"Vera, are these diamonds... I can’t wear them!"
Ashton gently stroked the necklace in the box with her plump fingers and imdiately returned the box.
"What are you talking about, these are just crystal rhinestones!" Vera ca over, took the necklace out, and placed it around her neck. "These are just rented decorations, not real, just don’t lose them."
Hearing this, the two girls finally set aside their concerns.
Soon, the two make-up artists finished applying makeup and styled their hair according to their face shapes.
The two girls stood up, then together pressed Vera into the chair.
Vera laughed and said, "Just a light makeup will do for ."
This ti the event was so large, and she knew many of her father’s old business acquaintances would be there, so she didn’t want to stand out too much.
"How can that be, you two must make Vera look stunning; she’s the absolute star today."
"Yes, dress Vera up as a super beauty, ideally outshining all the celebrities attending the event today!"
The two make-up artists glanced at Vera, the older one stepped forward.
"Miss Vera has great skin and beautiful features, so today I’ll give you a flawless natural makeup look!"
The young make-up artist began to work on her hair, while the older one picked up her tools and started working on Vera’s makeup.
Despite calling it a natural look, it’s not easy to achieve.
After all, the highest level of makeup art is creating a look with no visible trace once finished, which is the most challenging task.
Unknowingly, ti slowly passed by.
Ruben Campbell rushed in, "Ladies, are you not finished yet? The event is about to start!"
His reminder made everyone realize the ti.
"Then I won’t finish it." Vera said as she tried to get up.
"No worries, we have another half-hour!" rlin Bradley glanced at her phone, "How about this, we’ll go out and cover for you first, finish up and then join us!"
Looking at her reflection in the mirror, Vera nodded reluctantly. With her makeup half done, she couldn’t go out like that.
So, Ruben Campbell took Ashton and rlin Bradley out to handle the guests, while the make-up artists continued with her makeup.
Ashton, being a leader in the real estate industry, had organized an event that was also a key governnt project, naturally attracting many industry big bosses to attend. As the event ti approached, the parking lot downstairs was filled with luxury cars, resembling a luxury car show.
