"Stop thinking about these things from now on. I don’t care whether it was your first ti or not." Kris Cooper gently ruffled her hair. "Vera, all I want is for you to love wholeheartedly, to belong only to in the future. Can you do it?"
"Hmm!" She imdiately nodded.
"That’s all that matters!" He smiled and held her tightly again. "Let’s not bring up the past again. Let’s focus on the future!"
Full of emotion, Vera clung to his neck tightly. "Okay, I’ve forgotten the past too, but I promise you, from now on, my body and heart will only belong to my husband!"
"So will I." He took a deep breath. "From now on, Kris Cooper will only belong to Vera."
Before it was, now it is, in the future it will be!
Holding her, he gently stroked her smooth back. There was no desire, only tenderness.
She was so tired from everything that happened that day and into the night that she quickly fell asleep under his touch, the corners of her lips still raised in a smile.
In the hotel room, one bed was vacant, while the two of them squeezed into the other bed.

All night, Irene Spencer couldn’t sleep well. The thought of Vera and Kris Cooper’s passionate monts made her want to tear that girl into pieces.
It was dawn when she woke up.
After lying in bed for a while with no intention of going back to sleep, she finally got up, got dressed, and freshened up.
Stepping out of her room, neat and tidy and ready for breakfast downstairs, she ran into a familiar figure coming out of Vera’s room.
His tall figure, his handso face, his lazy posture... it was Kris Cooper.
"Kris?!"
She hurriedly greeted him with a smile.
Kris Cooper gently closed Vera’s door and turned to notice her. His eyes grew cold.
He had planned to go downstairs and bring Vera so breakfast. However, upon seeing Irene Spencer, he was reminded of what Vera had said before.
Imdiately, he walked towards her.
Seeing him coming over, Irene Spencer’s eyes lit up.
"When did you get here?"
He forcefully pushed the door open and strode into Irene’s room. Catching sight of this, she quickly followed him in.
He closed the door, and before she could turn around, he had her pinned against a wall with a hand around her neck.
"I recall warning you to keep your hands off what’s mine!"
He looked furious, his face as cold as ice, his eyes filled with wild anger. It seed as if he could tear her apart on the spot.
"Kr... Kris, I..." Irene Spencer’s voice trembled with fear. "I don’t understand. What... what are you talking about?"
Kris Cooper laughed coldly. "You think I don’t know what you’ve done to Vera?"
Her heart leapt into her throat as Irene shuddered all over.
What was he implying?
Had Vera told him about their conversation yesterday?
"I... I really don’t know, Kris... What... what did I do?"
Though scared to death, she still tried to keep up her facade in front of Kris Cooper.

The door was pushed open, and Anabel Wilton walked in.
"Sis Irene, why is your door not properly closed?" Seeing Kris Cooper and Irene Spencer in the hallway, Anabel Wilton was stunned. "Mr. Cooper, what... what are you doing?!"
Coming to her senses, she rushed over and pulled on Kris Cooper’s arm.
