The whole hall was quiet at this mont, making his laughter seem especially unrestrained and wild.
Though not everyone heard the words clearly, they were aware this was his acquiescence to Vera’s actions.
Counting it up, Vera’s position was legitimate, while Irene Spencer as the Mistress was inherently awkward.
Kris Cooper proposed to Vera Wave in public, and who doesn’t know, even if you have feelings towards soone, you shouldn’t challenge the legitimate one, being splashed with water and jeered can only be sumd up with two words — deserved!

As for whether Irene Spencer crying pitiably matters to them, it doesn’t at all.
Vera turned her face to look over, only to see the man’s gentle face, not angry at all.

Affected by the smoke, she lightly coughed twice, raising her hand to pat her son’s back.
"What happened, looking so worried?"
Nathan Leafcastle let out a long sigh.
"Mom... I’m so conflicted!"
Walking to the side of the railing, alongside her son, Liliana Davis slightly curled her lips.
"Love is inherently a troubling thing. I was young once too, and I understand your feelings. That night... was Sally with you?"
Her words revealed his concerns, and Nathan Leafcastle furrowed his eyebrows even tighter.
"I bla myself, drank too much, now... I really don’t know what to do."
"Is Sally not good enough for you?" Liliana Davis asked.
Nathan Leafcastle imdiately responded, "Of course not, she’s a very good girl."
