"Isn’t it because I’m worried you’ll worry too much and age?"
"Cut the flattery, I don’t fall for that!"
"You’re not a horse, you’re the beautiful and kind mom that everyone loves!"
"You little rascal!" Bailey Hansen laughed and scolded, "You think you can sweet-talk into agreeing? I’m telling you, no way!"
"Mom." Kris Cooper put away his teasing tone, "I’m serious."
"Serious? When have I ever not been serious when talking to you? How do you treat ?" Though she complained, Bailey’s tone turned earnest, "Alright, I know, I’ll discuss it with your dad later. We have a eting with a director tomorrow, so no ti, how about the day after tomorrow, we’ll invite Grandma Wave over, and both families can sit down together. Your grandpa’s been saying he wants to et Vera too!"
"OK!" Kris Cooper’s voice imdiately brightened, "Should I hang up then?"
"Heartless, we raised you for nothing!" Bailey snorted disdainfully, "Fine, go be with your little wife! By the way... hurry up and give a little BABY, did you hear?!"
"I heard!" Kris Cooper smiled at the phone before hanging up, "You say I’m in a hurry, but you’re even more anxious than I am!"
He just wanted to get married, and she was already thinking about having a little BABY.

Fra Horse Racing Ground.
A black car slowly drove into the entrance of the racing ground. The driver stopped the car, and Tommy Taylor got out first. Before he could walk over to open the door, Vera Wave had already pushed it open and stepped out.
Having lived in the city for so long, it’s been a while since she ca to such an open place in the suburbs. Raising her arms in a stretch, she indulgently breathed in deeply.
Grass had just been cut, and there was a faint grassy aroma in the air, quite pleasant.
"The air is still better here."
"Would you like to change into your riding gear first?" Tommy Taylor laughed, "I’ll ask them to get your horse ready."
"No!" Vera Wave smiled broadly, "I want to see Bailey first."
By this ti, the manager of Fra Horse Racing Ground had already co to greet them, and upon seeing them, he jogged over to welco them excitedly.
"Miss Vera, Assistant Taylor!"
"You... recognize ?" Vera was a bit surprised.
The manager chuckled, "You’re so famous now, who wouldn’t recognize you?"
Of course, it was his first ti seeing her in person, but in their line of work, staying inford about their clients is a must. Besides, with all the headlines on newspapers and websites these days, the manager was already familiar with her face.
Moreover, Tommy Taylor had called ahead, so even if he hadn’t seen her before, he’d guessed her identity.
"Where’s Bailey?" Vera imdiately asked.
She had rembered Bailey’s existence just last night and had left work early today to co see it. Now that she was at the racing ground, she couldn’t help but want to see her long-lost friend.
"It’s in the stable, you can change clothes, and I’ll bring it out for you right away."
"Can I see it first?"
"Of course." The manager imdiately gestured with his hand invitingly, "Please follow !"
Together, they walked through the hall and could see from afar the two rows of stables in front of the woods.
"Your horse is just ahead." The manager led her into the first row of stables, "It slls a bit inside, please bear with it."
They all walked into the stable together. Workers were cleaning the stables and so were bathing the horses.
After all, it was a place for raising horses, and despite daily cleaning, there was still a slight sll of manure.
