As he passed through the front hall, sounds from the racetrack could be heard from afar.

The cheers were rising and falling, creating a lively atmosphere.
Kris Cooper lifted his face, looking towards the racetrack, seeing several people gathered together. Not far off on the grass, two riders were galloping one after the other.
The leading horse, pure white, like a cloud of snow on the run, with a slim figure half-crouched on its back, attired in white equestrian gear, with long hair flying behind.
"Vera?!"
Kris Cooper recognized the figure and couldn’t help but call out softly.
Without thinking, he quickened his pace and jogged over.
Behind, Ria Chapman saw Vera Wave right in front of her, only a horse’s length away from overtaking her. Yet, this final horse’s length felt like a chasm she couldn’t cross.
At this point, her Mongolian Horse had already expended too much energy in previous sprints, unable to hold its own against Vera’s Bailey.
Raising her face, she looked at the red hat hanging on the rail not far away. Ria Chapman gritted her teeth and abruptly pulled the reins, taking her horse to the inner ring.
There was a turn up ahead, her last chance.
If she could grab the shortest distance through the bend, she might still surpass Vera Wave.
Ria Chapman successfully squeezed into the inner track, using the bend’s gap to finally ride side by side with Vera Wave.
Unfortunately, her dreams were beautiful; reality, however, was cruel.
At such high speeds, the sharp turn was indeed a severe test for the rider.
She hadn’t had a chance to feel proud of surpassing Vera Wave when her balance was already lost, her body uncontrollably leaning to one side of the horse.
