Everyone knows the Cooper Family is closely connected with the Maverick and Quincy families. Offending these two basically equals offending these big families. Which dia, which website... has such courage?
The Cooper’s old mansion is not a place where journalists dare to pry. Ashton is as unbreakable as a fortress; at most, journalists wait patiently at Ashton’s gates hoping for a stroke of luck.
They tried to take a distant candid shot of Vera Wave, but ended up capturing Bailey Hansen personally sending her daughter-in-law to work. Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law appearing in the sa fra once again confird the rumors were true.
Who else would dare to underestimate them?!
But that was not all. At dusk, even Christoper Cooper, who rarely intervenes, made a rare visit to Ashton.
He didn’t go to the top floor or any other departnt, but headed straight to the Planning Departnt for one reason only—to pick up his daughter-in-law for dinner at ho.
And so, the evening headline was born.
Vera Wave sat in the back seat of the car, feeling flattered, while Christoper Cooper, who was driving, gave her a gentle smile.
"Your aunt isn’t good at driving, so I wasn’t at ease. Next ti, if you want to go to work, I’ll take you."
How could she dare agree?
"No need, no need, I’ll just ride with Kris tomorrow."
Christoper Cooper didn’t insist, he just reminded her to sit properly and started the car. Along the way, he casually asked about her work and if she had taken her dicine...
Vera had heard a lot about him before and assud such a great figure would be incredibly aloof and unapproachable.
After chatting all the way, she discovered that he was humorous and charming, without a trace of arrogance.
It was only then she realized that Kris Cooper’s inherent free-spiritedness didn’t co from Bailey Hansen, but from his father, Christoper Cooper.
After recuperating at the Cooper Family for three days, her hand injury healed quickly under everyone’s careful care.
However, she had to postpone the planned weekend trip to the United States.
On Saturday morning, with no work to do, Kris Cooper personally took her to change her bandages.
After a few days of rest, Vera’s right hand was no longer troubled, but her left hand still had so unhealed wounds and needed to be wrapped for a few more days.
After changing the bandages, Kris Cooper did not take her ho, but to a restaurant. Vera initially thought he was taking her for so alone ti together.
Unexpectedly, upon entering the private room, she saw Grandma Wave sitting at the table, chatting with Bailey Hansen, Christoper Cooper, and others. Apart from Henry Cooper, even Mrs. Lee was specially brought over to take care of Grandma Wave.
"Grandma?!" Vera walked in, surprised, "You... why are you here?"
"I had Tommy Taylor bring Grandma over," Kris Cooper stepped forward, seating her next to Bailey Hansen, while he sat between Vera and Grandma Wave. "Grandma, this ti, let’s have a family reunion dinner. How about it?"
Christoper Cooper and Bailey Hansen had previously ntioned wanting to sit with Grandma Wave, and it was not just for show.
Vera had no parents, both of them knew this, and Grandma Wave was the only elder in the family. Despite her unclear mind, attending such a big occasion together was a must.
"Good!" Grandma Wave looked at him warmly and lovingly, "I love these kids, Vera, Kris, and Tom!"
During this ti, Bailey Hansen had already called the waiter to serve the dishes.
Kris Cooper didn’t mind what Grandma Wave was saying, constantly attending to both sides, helping one with picking food, and the other with serving soup, taking care of Vera and Grandma Wave.
