Kris Cooper’s expression was cold, "I just want to remind you to be mindful of your words and deeds."
Liliana Davis was taken aback.
However, Nathan Leafcastle had already stepped forward, shielding his mother, "Mr. Cooper, I must ask you to be mindful of your words and deeds. I won’t allow anyone to disrespect my mother."
For soone to treat his mother with such an attitude, Nathan Leafcastle naturally wouldn’t allow it.
After all, his mother was an incredibly important presence in his heart.
"Very well!" Kris Cooper t his eyes with a deep gaze, "Then remind your mother well, Vera Wave is now my woman. I won’t allow anyone to harm her, and anyone who has hard her will pay the price!"
This statent was a full warning.
After he finished speaking, Kris Cooper snorted coldly and turned to walk towards the lobby.
Nathan Leafcastle was left speechless by his blunt words, also stunned in place.
How did this matter get entangled with Vera Wave?
Reflecting on the recent events, Nathan Leafcastle’s gaze shifted to his mother.
In front of Sally Dalton, he didn’t find it convenient to ask more questions, so he silently joined both of them in taking the elevator downstairs.
Once they were back at the villa where he lived, Sally Dalton went to change clothes, while Nathan Leafcastle used the excuse of needing to look at a docunt to step out of the bedroom, took off his coat, and walked to the door of his mother’s room nearby, knocking on the door.
After a mont, the door was opened. Upon seeing him, Liliana Davis smiled and invited him in.
"Why, aren’t you going to rest early tonight?"
"Mom, I have sothing I want to ask you." Nathan Leafcastle closed the door and walked up to her, "Just now... what did Kris Cooper an by those words?"
A flash of panic crossed Liliana Davis’s eyes, but she quickly concealed it.
"Nathan, what are you talking about?"
"I saw earlier that Vera Wave ca out with him." Nathan Leafcastle stared at his mother’s face, "She was there when you went to the washroom, wasn’t she?"
Caught by his words, Liliana Davis’s face appeared a bit unnatural.
"What exactly are you trying to say?"
"Mom, I should be asking you this... did you do sothing to Vera?"
"So..." Liliana Davis frowned, "You’re questioning your mother now, is that it?"
"Mom! I just want to know the truth!"
"The truth?!" Liliana Davis let out a displeased hum, "The truth is, in your heart, I am far less important than that Vera Wave, is that right?"
"Mom, you misunderstood!"
"No, I didn’t misunderstand. In fact, that’s exactly the case." Liliana Davis began to laugh, but it was filled with bitterness, "My son, questioning his mother for the sake of another woman. I gave birth to you and raised you, yet I am less than another girl... that is the truth!"
By the last sentence, her eyes were already reddened.
Liliana Davis raised her hand and pointed at the door, "Get out!"
"Mom!" Nathan Leafcastle frowned as he spoke, "Listen to ..."
"I don’t want to hear it, just get out!" Liliana Davis shouted lowly, "Go find your Vera Wave, ask her clearly, see what I did to her... just go!"
In all these years, this was the first ti Liliana Davis lost her temper at Nathan Leafcastle.
The woman before him appeared extrely agitated, eyes stained with tears, and seeing her like this, Nathan Leafcastle’s brows knitted even tighter.
