As Vera Wave was still in a daze, the man had already taken off his trousers and stuffed his discarded clothes into her arms.
"Get your toiletries."
"But..." Vera held his trousers, "the water hasn’t been heated yet."
This place wasn’t like his apartnt or villa, which had 24-hour hot water. Here, water had to be heated with a water heater to get hot.
Seeing her expression, a hint of amusent flashed in Kris Cooper’s eyes.
"That’s okay, I’ll wash with cold water."
"You’re sweaty all over, washing with cold water will..."
She subconsciously began to speak, but cut herself off halfway through.
How could she show concern for him at this ti?
"What will happen?" he asked.
She bit her lip, trying to appear indifferent. "If you want to wash, then wash. Suit yourself!"
After saying that, she turned around in annoyance and went into the living room, tossing his clothes onto the sofa. Suddenly, realizing sothing was amiss, she turned and walked back to the bathroom door.
"Hold on, who said you could take a bath here?!"
BANG!
The bathroom door slamd shut in her face. Then, Kris Cooper’s voice sounded from inside.
"Shampoo, soap, bath towel!"
"I don’t have any!"
She shouted at the door in rage.
What was going on? Shouldn’t he be scolding her right now, giving her the chance to tear into him and break things off for good? What was with this guy? He wasn’t scolding her, he wasn’t angry, and now he was taking a shower in her place?
After mulling it over and still not understanding, she walked over and pushed open the door.
"Kris Cooper, you and I..."
Inside, the man was already standing stark naked under the showerhead. Hearing the door open, he turned towards her without any attempt to cover himself.
"Shaless!"
Vera’s face flushed red. SLAM! She pulled the door shut.
After grinding her teeth in the living room for a while, she eventually went back to her bedroom, opened a suitcase, and took out a bath towel.
With how shaless that guy was, if she didn’t give him a bath towel, he’d probably streak through her apartnt.
She walked over, pushed open the door, placed the bath towel on the shelf next to the sink, and without a glance in his direction, she walked out, firmly shutting the door once more.
What kind of ss was this?
Standing in the living room, she was still fuming.
The doorbell rang again. She strode over and yanked it open, thoroughly annoyed.
"Who is it?!"
This ti, it was the delivery guy. Noticing her displeasure, he offered an apologetic smile.
"Sorry, the restaurant was too busy at noon, so the delivery is a bit late."
"It’s okay."
Vera, realizing her attitude had been off, quickly let him in and went to get her wallet to pay.
Kris Cooper, who had been showering in the bathroom, erged wrapped in a bath towel, his hair and body still dripping wet.
He walked over, pulled out his own wallet, and casually handed the delivery guy a hundred-dollar bill.
"Keep the change."
"Thank you."
The delivery guy accepted the money with a grateful expression, thanked him again, and left. Only then did Vera erge, wallet in hand.
Glancing from the departing delivery guy to the dripping-wet Kris Cooper, she pursed her lips in disdain and sat down on the sofa.
Kris Cooper walked over, picked up his clothes from the sofa, went out onto the balcony, and tossed them into the washing machine. Hearing the washing machine begin to fill with water, Vera silently fud.
The shirt was one thing, but hand-tailored trousers—he actually threw them into the washing machine?!
Seeing Kris Cooper return to the living room, she couldn’t be bothered with him and simply opened the food delivery bag to take out her lunch.
