After the eting, Vera Wave waved at Archie Perkin and headed toward her office.
Once she reached the door, she saw rlin Bradley making exaggerated facial expressions at her.
Vera stopped in her tracks, "What’s up, got a twitching eyelid?"
"Left eye twitching ans good fortune, isn’t it?" rlin Bradley laughed.
"Sure, of course!" Vera replied with a playful eye roll, "Take your ti with the twitching, just don’t forget the materials I asked you to organize earlier."
With that, she walked over and pushed open the office door.
As soon as she entered, she saw her CEO at her desk, busily typing away on her computer.
No wonder rlin Bradley was winking at her earlier—it was a sign he was here.
She closed the door and walked over, placing her hands on his shoulders from behind.
"What are you doing, Mr. CEO? Checking my computer personally? Afraid I’m playing gas during work?"
"Didn’t you complain about the internet speed being too slow?" Kris Cooper glanced at the screen, "I’ve cleared all the unnecessary programs for you. It shouldn’t be a problem now. Shall we go?"
"I still have a docunt I haven’t finished reading!"
"Read it tomorrow."
"But..."
"That’s an order!" Kris Cooper picked up the bag he had organized for her, wrapped his arm around her shoulders, "Let’s go!"
"Is there sothing up?"
"Co with to the airport."
"Who?"
"An important guest!"
"I don’t want to! I thought it was just a business partner of yours. You go ahead, this project is urgent!"
"You have no choice!" Kris Cooper extended his hand to shut down the computer, "You must go today for this guest."
She shrugged her shoulders, "Fine, I’ll go!"
It wasn’t that she was intentionally trying to avoid it. The project was indeed urgent, but since he was so insistent, this guest must be very important. So, she’d make a trip to the airport first.

She quickly pulled back her pace, turning her run into a walk, eagerly heading over. Kris Cooper stayed by her side, carefully protecting her from bumping into others.
Standing in front of Grandma Wave, Vera imdiately stretched out her arms to hug the elderly woman’s shoulders.
"Grandma!"
This parting had lasted over a month, the longest they’d been apart since the family incident.
While in prison, separated by thousands of miles, she’d constantly worried about her grandmother’s situation, though powerless to do anything.
After being released, she beca pregnant, making it inconvenient to travel abroad. Even though she was worried, she had to hold back.
Originally, she planned to have Kris Cooper arrange for her grandmother to be brought back during her wedding, but he had already thought of it in advance.
